I found myself watching a lot of documentaries during the big Power hiatus last year and when I visited New York last year in April, me and the wife went to a lot of these spots. Had great fun! I'll do another in depth breakdown on the Mafia soon, hopefully it's an angle Power are thinking about in the future, there's a lot they can do with the mob 🤞🏻
The Civello Mob coming back to the story at this point would be brilliant. Especially sort of foreshadowing them to be a major plot point for a future spinoff. 🔥🔥
The problem is the word brilliant. I’ve been thinking about Ghost . The writing hasn’t been brilliant. It’s not just the cancellation it’s the character development.. sometimes shows need to end or if they are going to have a spinoff it should be a real one .. the whole mafia story could have started at the beginning. I don’t know what the spinoffs will be nor do I watch raising kanan but it would be a good spinoff. In ghost they were all over the place . The original power was really great . Great writing acting and everything. This show was too disorganized. Just my opinion!
They rlly left so many stories behind; left out RSJ, Brayden never getting arrested or investigated for killing his unc, 2-Bit never coming back to hunt Tariq for taking his Porsche. Tariq getting away with killing Junior and Salim. Monet never finding out Tasha shot her. It really sucks how they just buried all this. With just 2 eps left we defs getting none of that
You are right if we waited this long they should have gave us at least 15 episodes to close those stories lines. Rushing to finish cheapens the brand they should have thought this through.
We never got to see who Mahoney was well. Also Rico was one and done with no buildup. Zeke and Mecca relationship didn't have enough story. Such a mess.
Thats the curse of final seasons in most shows. Look at OG Power. Last season they were just killing everybody off. It made no sense. The writing for this show has been sketchy for a while.
This would be so dope if they took this angle. Alisa Marie coming back would shake things up in the Power Universe. This makes sense, and I feel this is needed.
I remember Benny was the start of them Building up a character for them to mean nothing & get dropped off easily , after they killed him they started repeating that whole plot , building mfs up just to take em out early or easily

They had to get it cracking. And the show itself had to show a little muscle in regards to Tommy and Ghost imo. Right after all it is about the both of them or was. But it gives an inroad for Elisa Marie Procter. I've been saying it from the beginning. I believe she will be the one that ends Tariq eventually.
Hey movie Bot another thing that could tie to the Italians is Effie we just met her mom and I don't think it's a coincidence her mom is a major chracter from the Sopranos. Maybe Effies mom got disowned by her Itailian family because she had a kid with a black or brown person but Effie still had like a relationship with an uncle or something and that was her actual plug in the original Power we never found out about. That would be a cool way to get more into Dffies back story and I wouldn't think they would bring Drea DE Mateo in just for that quick part.

Honestly would make a lot of sense because the timeline fits into around the time that tommy started working with Vincent..so Effie’s plug could have been the competition…but I think it was kanan or the guy that Kanan beat the shit out of in that gated community
A Mob show wouldn't be bad. The Penguin on HBO pilot episode actually got my attention more than Season 4 episode 8 of Book 2. I want to add why Benny's crew never went looking for Tommy and Uncle Carlo knew Vincent never reported back to him.

Michael Rainey also speaks Italian which I don’t think it explores as much as they did with Ghost’s Spanish back in the day. Doing a modern power with the mob could be interesting
His Italian is probably a little rusty from learning it when he was a kid and probably not using it much, (although Ghost's Spanish wasn't amazing) but an Italian spinoff would be a great way to incorporate Tariq's Italian and keep him in the story.
The thing is nobody cares if it’s a spin off from this book tho 😂. Everyone likes raising kanan and I’m sure as hell think people are going to like the power origins(ghost and tommy story)

My prediction is that Tariq & Effie will link up again. Tariq might end up going to jail due to him & Brayden touching the rails at the men’s apartment. Brayden has never been locked up before so they don’t have his prints on file but they do have Tariq’s fingers prints. Tariq going to Tasha house was a big mistake which Carter will kill Tasha or Yaz. Effie or Tariq will tell Anya about her mom killing her dad and Anya or Effie will kill Noma. Dru & Cane might get into and go to war, and in the midst of it, Diana will be killed. Davis will die by Cane. Definitely think Effie mom is Italian and with Dru mentioning the Italians on the last episode to Carter, I think they will be introduced someway somehow. Tate or Nico will get Tariq out of jail and Tate will kill Carter.

I don't know what I seen more of:
-characters people think should have spinoffs of characters people have thought was Breeze
Power made spinoffs of Tariq (Ghost's son), Kanan (Ghost's mentor) and Tommy (Ghost's partner)......all which made sense because they're ALL from the OG Power (from the beginning) and it was logical
making a spinoff about the Italians (who we partially saw in Season 6 ) or Noma (who we first saw in Season 3 of Ghost) or Detective Carter (who we first saw in Season 4 of Ghost) is just plain DUMB
the only thing that makes sense is Power: Origins or tying in Book Ghost with Force to keep Tommy and Tariq's story going unless or until they get killed (IF)
