You don't use a sleeping bag liner? I was thinking of investing in a Sea to Summit Thermolite Reactor, they claim it will increase the comfort temperature with 15 degrees. It will add another 400 grams but it might save you another sleeping bag for colder weather.
That is an excellent tip, a good liner is a great thing to have! I have a different sleeping bag for those kind of temperature differences already, but it's a great idea to use that instead - it also might save space in the bag, since the liner+sleeping bag might still be smaller than a thicker bag.
