Note. This is how I clean and lube my gear diff. There are other ways to do this and other grease/lube to use. There are also other videos on TH-cam on how to disassemble the PN Gear diff. This video is just to show how I degrease and lube the gears.
I don’t use my PN Gear diffs (I have 2) that often. The only time I would use the PN Gear Diff as my backup when my Kyosho ball diff is acting up and I don’t want to do maintenance while I'm at the track. I used to have backup Kyosho Ball Diff but my fleet grew and I needed to use those ball diffs and mod’ing a Kyosho ball diff takes time.
I have tried few grease and found that I prefer the feel of dry gear diff but the gears are expensive when they wear out so I must use some lubricant for longevity and I think this dry lube is helping a bit with that because there is no signs of wear in my gears and the noise is still the same. As for the noise, it sounds a little quieter than dry. Grease is a lot quieter but I don’t like the feel of it. The best grease I’ve tried are the Tamiya Ceramic Grease but for me, dry is better for straight racing and not care for wear and tear. The bicycle chain lube is still wet to the touch but dry to look at. After 1k laps, there isn't any gunk that I notice in the gears unlike the grease although when cleaning the gears, the motor spray degreaser turned dark after dipping the gears. I like this lube because even after doing 1k laps, the feel of the diff still feels the same as it did after doing a service.
    I use the following:
-motor spray to clean the gears.
-Yutori 003 bearing oil for the outside bearing (I don’t use the thrust bearing).
-Rock & Roll Blue Bottle Chain Lube: a.co/d/4YxmeiU
    -PN Racing Gear Differential v3
    -PN Racing Ti shaft
-PN Racing Ball Diff v2 adjuster nut
    -Kyosho wheel nut (no shim/spacer)

Great video again I just purchased the same gear diff but was wondering whats the trick to getting the right adjustment? When adjusting what am i suppose be looking for how fast the rear rotates around the turns? Is it better to run tight or kind snug or loose? Thanks in advance!!

      Thank you for watching!
I prefer dry or the dry chain lube (the one in this video) so the gears are free to move. When I flick one of the wheels, both wheels would spin freely with noticeable sound of the planetary gears spinning. Like the gears are dry! Any light grease to me at my local track, just feels like the left and right wheels is fighting each other on mid-corner. But when I remove this light coat grease (Tamiya ceramic grease), the gear diff feels nice and smooth in the mid corner. You can even tap on the gas to make the rear rotate a bit to keep a tighter mid corner line (only used when setting fast lap). So mine is not snug, its probably in between the snug and loose.
You want to keep an eye out on that adjuster nut. Sometimes this backs off. What you want to do is to put the diff in the car, install the rear wheels and torque the right rear wheel nut all the way. Then back out the adjuster nut to your liking on how you want your diff to feel. You want to do it this way because that wheel nut plays a big role on why others cars have tight diff or why the car feels different every time they touch that Right Rear wheel nut.

Hi me again😅 do you remember from the diff video you made. Is this the pn gear diff i was telling you the axle is shorter by 2mm then the original reflex diff axle? Isnt it off center from left to right and you have to shim a lot to get it centered with the rx28?

And the bearing on the side without the diff is slipping a bit cause it is not on the axle shaft more on the thread so its a bit wouble. The reflex guys on Facebook told me to then use the plastic nut from Reflex racing with the (bearing or plastic inlay) already on it and it will fit but i switched back to the Reflex original RX28SE-G2 diff.

Hi, This is a PN Gear Diff v3. Idk if it's shorter than RX28 diff because I don't use RX28 diff. I only use Kyosho Ball Diff. My Kyosho Diff and PN Gear Diff are dead center. I didn't need to add extra shims.
