Beware the Alloy

I took up the task of making a kitchen knife for the Queen and found that the steel I thought was just good, high-carbon steel was actually an alloy akin to stainless (but it's not exactly stainless). I think it's 4640 but I'm not sure. Let me know if you think it's something else.
