- Lets start sounding melodic as we play solo lead guitar! By using the notes in each chord (chord tones) we will start sounding more melodic as we play blues rock lead guitar solos. I will teach you a simple way to start playing more melodic as you improvise some blues rock lead guitar solos!!!

You can do a lot with hitting the notes in a chord , using different positions on the neck climbing up combined with the techniques you mentioned you just can’t go wrong … but playing melodic and … telling a story is the next level thing … singing melody lines in your head transposing them audibly really helps …. Listen to Hendrix and Rory Gallagher , they even sing along with the guitar lead … how cool is that …. Anyway , good tutorial that will help a lot of players 😊

Another excellent lesson! I kept falling for the same n00b trap of just sticking to the minor pentatonics right under that E cowboy chord, and it never even occurred to me to venture out forward with some major tones.
But I'm with @thespian1961 from above in the comments; I don't think anybody would mind just one video about "Rusty" and all the wheres, whys and hows that got him to such a rockstar level.
I mean, I've only been playing guitar three years this month, and all the other kids here at the old folk's home think I'm some sort of guitar wizard, when literally all I'm doing is following what I learn in these vidyas!

What kind of fender is that guitar you’re using rusty
I bought the Guitar used so I’m not sure the model. It’s American made with a Pearly Gates Humbucker.
