Ferrari 328 seat rail unique

This unique Ferrari 328 seat rail is fairly limited production unit. A litte "over-the-top" in design using a scrolling worm gear and ratcheting pawl as a position lock, and jamming upon receipt. Due to the fact that ALL seat and occupant weight is supported by only Q=4 six mm round steel balls ( bearing balls) the tiny footprint of these balls onto the concave slider rail channels tends to distort the channel tracks into "rumples". We smoothed out the ball tracks, freed the scroll to spin, lubricated and adjusted the steel rails for more clearance.
A bit counterintuitive in operation, the scrolling worm gear turns with the occupants scooting movement, and locks upon release of a foward mounted bail against spring loaded latch not shown here.. All good now!
