Logic gates are the basic building blocks of any digital system. It is an electronic circuit having one or more than one input and only one output. The relationship between the input and the output is based on a certain logic. Based on this, logic gates are named as AND gate, OR gate, NOT gate etc
AND GATE::
A HIGH output (1) results only if both the inputs to the AND gate are HIGH (1). If neither or only one input to the AND gate is HIGH, a LOW output results. In another sense, the function of AND effectively finds the minimum between two binary digits, just as the OR function finds the maximum between two binary digits. Therefore, the output is always 0, except when all the inputs are 1.
SCHEMETIC-- In this section of video you will learn Logic symbol, Truth table of an AND gate. Circuit of AND gate using DIODE TRANSISTOR LOGIC is given.
SIMULATION --In this section simulation of the AND Gate circuit is done using DTL. App used for simulation is "EVERY CIRCUIT" link is given below:
Working of the circuit in accordance with the truth table is also explained using simulation.
MAKING THE CIRCUIT-- For building AND gate circuit components used are:
1. BREADBOARD for connection.
2.100 ohm resistor.
3. 1N4007 DIODE(2 pieces).
4.LED
5. 9 VOLT BATTERY

Ur video is the only video in youtube that help me 2 undrstnd very easily n clearly.... thnks a lot..
Excellent explanation.. as a mechanical background guy , this type of illustration was wat I was exactly looking for .. thanks
The missing piece to this problem in textbooks, which is only shown here in the final circuit, is that hypothetical the logic gate acts as both source and sink - meaning it's _also_ connected to ground. Simply applying a signal to the logic gate would not have the desired effect, as it would behave the same in the the off (open) condition as in the on (connected) condition otherwise.
Dude your channel is awesome and videos are very helpful and the way you teach is really really fantastic.
Keep it up🥰
Thank u very much bro.. this video helps me to get a clear idea about circuits and its connections ..very useful video👍👍👍
Awesome explanation! Idk why so many people disliked
really amazing!
Nice work. LOVED IT.
which aimulation software you are using?
OMG YOU REALLY HELP ME! THANK YOU SO MUCH!
Amazing explanation. Thank you so much.
Thank you for the excellent explanation now I can make the AND Gate circuit for my class 12 physics project
Thank you for explaining very well....
Great one, saved me from buying some ICs for a project!
finally some awesome explanation
Thank you so.. much!! It really helped me.. a lot!! 🥰
which software are u using for this stimulation
Superbe, really good,
I am so impressed from u sir! Thanks
Muhammad Fayaz thankyou very much.. do share😁
Thanks my guy very helpful
Im trying to read the status of 2 leds. When they are both on i want the and gate to switch a transistor, hitting reset on the IC.
When the leds are off, would the power not run through the diodes in turn powering the LEDs on A and B?
sr aap kon sa software use kr rahe hi
Tnx a lot brother.u r awesome finally understand the concept
thank you so much sir it helps a lot😍
Thank-you bro my bout is cleared
Thank you sir.
thank you guy
Thanks very nice explanation
does procecors in intel and AMD use this way to calculate logical operations?
no.. DTL logic family is long gone as more advanced CMOS logic is used to calculate logical operations as CMOS packaging density is very high and there are many other factors.
very good my friend!
How do you know how to build the circuit based on the drawing? I'm a little confused on how to do, thank you so much
Ok. So first tell me are you familiar with breadboard?
Hello ... Thank you for the video ... But can we use any other diode ???
+BHASKAR VAISHNAVI yes!
WHICH APP YOUR ARE USING?
what do you mean by short per se?
Thanks sir 😊
Which app you use for stimulation?
Every circuit
what connecting wires do i use like they are all thread like and hard to insert please explain and is a 1kohm resistor enough??
for a 9 volt battery, yeah!
Sir which app you have used for creating the circuit
Everycircuit
How did u make the simulation?? Is there any app for making this type of simulations????
Did you find out?
Very good!
Thank u so much
App name ..simulation kia jha ly....plz tel me mobile app
7:55 This is called Floating Point.
Helpful
Can you show AND gate using transistors.
please share simulation link.
Thank you bhai
Aapne bhacha liya
Hey Brother! I am a Multisim user. Could you please tell me instead of logic, what can be used?
Thankyou sir
what is the range of diodes???
Hlo sir...u said that when we give 1 to p side of diode.it acts short circuit and open circuit with zero.....why it is so....plz ....explain
I don't got any video of circuits of gates on TH-cam and Google....u was I only one👍👌
what role was played by the two diodes
When A B is 0,0 LED's p terminal is at Higer potential, then why current can not flow through LED?
Please tell
+Jhola Wala Babu because both diodes are fwd biased, and thus current flows through them to Gnd. (*Least resistance path)
How you say diode side terminal has low resistance
tysm sir😍
Thank u for the explanation, made it really easy for me to understand
(I was actually confused with the circuit well u cleared it)
Sir pls do it with or and not gate also
Super bro tq🙏
Nice
Good thanks
thankyou! do share
Are they zener diodes? Because a normal diode wouldnt have backflow would it?
Isaac Westawski No, a normal rectifier diode. And there's no backflow in any of the conditions stated.
Which diode you used
1N400 series
simulation link is avaialble
what is the app
+Banasree Paul "everycircuit"
My connections are right but I want to know whether it is mandatory to use a 100 ohm resistor...
are you using 9volt battery?
Yes it's a 9 V battery
if you are using a 9volt battery then there is risk of damaging LED. So connect resistor!. though its not mandatory to use resistor of 100 ohm only.
Oh so any other resistance will not work? Like 33 or 3.3? Or is it too low?
You can calculate this right away..
Battery voltage= 9v
Resistor value= 33
I = 9/33=.27A = 270mA
Which is huge..Led Wii surely die!
Tnq sir
Awesome
Bro connecting of circuits application name tell to us
In this video he used "Circuit Jam" App if this information is helping you please subscribe my channel.
where is the battery?
Stimulated name??
This video clear the concept really helpful
ok, this is still miles over my head, so why dosn't the current just ignore the diodes, regardless of what the inputs are, and run strait to the led?
because if current finds a path with negligible resistance ie in the case of the short circuit. it will go there
Owesom explanation thanks brother
great
All connections r right ... But it is not working at all ... Plzz help me ...
Plz help
That's bcoz any of the components may be faulty
The resistance is heating up n the red led is not working ... Plzz help ..
have you checked the LED?
Yes ... I have checked ... Should I use any other color led ??
what connecting wires do i use like they are all thread like and hard to insert please explain and is a 1kohm resistor enough??
thanks a lot
1. Check circuit properly
2. use 100ohm resistor
3. check polarity of LED, is it right or not
4.Check diodes polarity
5. Check whether Battery's positive terminal is connected as shown in circuit
Let me know
App ka nam kiya he
app ko naam se kya/ apne kaam se kaam rakho
Thanks a lot man. That is a great lesson and the breadboard work is cool.
I'm just a hobbyist of Electronics. Do you thing adding a pull-down resistor might keep the LED off until both conditions for it to be on are achieved(A=1,B=1) ?
But I dunno exactly where it is used. (According to the site below it seems to be connect with a switch)
In digital circuits there are 3 states: On(1/True), Off(0/False), and floating(which I think alternates between the two previous states)
A floating state is countered by using either a pull-up resistor connected to vcc to keep it On or a pull-down resistor connected to ground to keep Off until a state is provided.
www.resistorguide.com/pull-up-resistor_pull-down-resistor/
What you think?
Thanks again & regards
thankyou! igrewold
pull down resistor cannot be used here because there is no floating here. it is simply the characteristics of circuit that is, if both diode's n terminal is open then current will flow to led. n pull down and pull up resistors are generally used with switches in microcontroller applications to prevent bouncing.
I hope this helps
a LED*
Truth table is wrong
And how is it wrong?
you are wrong shows LED not blinking when 1 0 and 0 1 case but i see LED is glowing
There are 3 syllables in the word "battery" (BA-TER-EE). You keep pronouncing it as 2 syllables (BA-TREE). This is severely incorrect and it triggers me to the point of convulsing and shaking. Please correct this before I self destruct. Thank you :)
I hope your BA-TER-EE does not self destruct 😂. Thanks for the suggestion anyway!

The explanation didn't help me by a lot I think it would hve helped me if the explanation was a bit better
Agr English nhi boli jari to mat bolo na
Samajh bhi nhi ara poor English ki wajah se speak in Hindi instead
Sounds Indian. You should have used Hindi. As i can't get your English clearly. But good explanation.
Really the worst explanation how many times you just stuttered that is really annoying first make your concepts clear
