NOT Gate using transistor on Breadboard

Let us make a not gate using a transistor.
Not gate behavior can be realized by using an NPN transistor and an LED with one resistor to limit the current through LED. The circuit is very easy.We are using here BC547 transistor for demo purpose.Actually, in this circuit, the transistor acts as a switch. For fast switching actions, we need to use switching transistors like 2222N transistor etc.
