I went 5 eagle barb, 5 veng pala 2 fighter with luminous gear and moonlight glaive. Also took mobile over athlete. You get divine smites on your diving strikes which procs luminous/radiant orb gear and mobile makes it so you can just jump away and then dive back onto the same or diff target without procing opportunity attacks
@@wayfaringnomad i just recently started a new play through where I picked asterion and I’m trying to max his damage so I carry boxes everywhere -_- or well I guess I make laezel carry boxes around for me lol it’s hilarious!
Great build video! Eagle Barbarian was my first Karlach build, and this looks even more fun. Also, I adore the Tactics theme of your videos! But every time the music trails off and the title screen fanfare doesn't kick in it's always like "something feels missing...😢" lol
Great build, I've always wanted a build that took full advantage of eagle heart, but because it requires you to start above your target, I could never quite figure out how to make it viable.
Not opposed to that, what would you trade out to fit that in? *Edit: I've never tried monk fully so I appreciate the insight! I'm very much stuck in my ways with usual picks.
Beside missing adding monk for step of the wind your build is very on point. The githyanky selection is also good as they canonically dragon rider. Item wise I think a combo of banshee bow, spiteful thunder and reverb gear is very good. You dazed the enemies when dealing thunder damage and then your enemies has disadvantage on wisdom save against the frighten effect from the banshee bow. If this combo hit you can deny enemies 2 turn. Great build after all. Love this.
There was a D&D podcast i used to listen to, and one character was a Dragoon and they kept calling him Crab Rangoon, and this made me think of that 😂

Divine smite + diving strikes... that sounds amazing
@@wayfaringnomad Its real fun haha
Another great video - so many builds, so little time.
"you cant just get on a box and jump down" thats fair, **climbs on TWO boxes**
I've got a buddy who would carry several boxes in his inventory just to stack them lol

lol I understand that feeling, next build let's turn it up!
never thought i see a familiar face here

I don't know if you're like doing mod or not but there's a dragoon class mod in Nexus. Kinda nice.
I might cover mods once things get ironed out with the patch etc
What about using monk's step of the wind at end game so that jump doesn't use any actions ?

In FFT I usually ran a dragoon/monk so I support this

For the rogue route, if you were using a finesse weapon would diving strike be able to use sneak attack reaction? I know it works with reckless attack
Off the top of my head, I dunno. I'll have to give that a try, that would be some nice damage.
@@wayfaringnomad if it does let me know
I wanna just drop on people, would be fun for a multiplayer playthrough
What game is that in the intro?
Mostly pulled from Final Fantasy XIV and a scene from Final Fantasy XVI.
