The game supposedly has a hidden sanity calculator. If you wander off on your own a lot, especially without a flashlight, your sanity drops-- and you're more likely to hear random creepy ambiance, such as that creepy "hey". So, good news, you're only going crazy in game. Definitely would scare the shit outta me hearing it 😂
i was playing solo with a no monster mod and, i didnt find any masks either. but i heard a deep laugh and just noped. i knew i had mobs off besides the bees, lotus and the birds but still scared me
The spray paint from the store is really good to help with navigation! My team usually has a dedicated "sprayer" who marks the back of doorframes they walk into to indicate which ones lead to the exit. In case of no doorframes (e.g. corners and intersections), the rule of thumb is to spray the nearest wall and make sure that when you're looking straight at the marking, you're also looking in the same direction as the exit path.
sometimes when u go to a planet agian the old spray paint marks are scattered even if its a new day. but besides that its a good strat (i can never get a clean spray from the item tho)

The whole segment of the game immediately cutting to Gary singing after John died at 7:34, followed by John and Sinow having the scanning realization at the same time at 7:50 made me cackle 😂
This has been such a delightful series from the start. I have always loved how when you co-op, you are trying to have fun and experiment to sometimes a game-breaking level above all else. This experimenting with the limits of the game is also one of the best ways I've personally found to find secrets and truly rate gameplay and other important game mechanics so it's not just you goofind around as it may appear. It's very wholesome to see the four of you and how long your friendship has lasted despite there being countries between all of you. I was introduced to your channel by Gab and am very glad that I started watching you 5 years ago now. You're the male TH-camr I watch the most.

Fun fact I accidentally figured out, If you stand on a mine and have a teleporter just stay on the mine and the people in the ship can bring you back without it blowing you up :)
I think it’s been tested that taking the apparatus doesn’t spawn more monsters. All it does is make it harder to see due to lack of lights and prevent the person in the ship from opening downs.
Hi John! If you guys wanna go to the expensive moons for free, there’s a mod for that called ‘Cheaper Fuel’. So you can use the money for something else instead (like the inverse teleporter for example). Y’know, just for the content lol hope this helps! :))

I'm sure you guys are probably way ahead on playing and figured this out already, but just in case; the quota doesn't count against your money to buy with. You get all the money, you just have to have made that much before the time limit, so you never really need to save items to sell later unless you are selling early and want the full profit from those other items.
