Yeah after the brick mono you could've taken the wheat port from Orange, but it would've cost you your city by having to port your ore for a 3rd wood. Not sure that's worth it, even though it does set back Orange's game quite a bit, and he was the number 1 threat. You also could've built 2 roads and a settlement on either the 9-4-11 or the 10-3-11, to make a play at longest road, but this just hurts Blue and I'm not sure you'd wanna do that and try to battle Blue for longest road this game; and it also would've cost you your city that turn. If you just had a wood or a sheep when you played the mono, you could've done both the city and 2 roads/settlement, and in this case I'd for sure cut off Orange to the wheat port, and still drop the city on the 8-4-10. But your mono play ended up working out for you anyways and got the win. Clutch dev pulls this game for sure. Need that sometimes when your initial setup is just worse than someone else's, but you definitely took full advantage of it with a 14 card mono (and a slight dirty mono on Orange to hurt them just a little bit more). The extra wheat also helped you city and settle, without having to port an extra time for wheat. This allowed you to get on the brick port instead of just settling the 6-2, so it wasn't even that slight for you. That extra wheat also made the city/settle over the cut off the more efficient play. So yeah, lucky and well played both...
