One of the reasons I love this show is that it's written entirely different than 99% of shows out today. Lots of longer scenes that are just dialog instead of needing to constantly add a bunch of background music or switch camera angles every 2 seconds. The show was almost like filming a play which is one of the pieces I loved most about it. There are lot of scenes they didn't over-dramatize but could have from a production end but let the actors actually act. I bet the actors loved doing this show.
It's also a foreshadowing of their life in adulthood as their life's choice is hanging and uncertain. Connor is not sure either he wants to stay out of his family business forever or wants to be the next President. Kendall is not sure either he wants to lead the company or wants to fight his dad. Roman is not sure either he wants to follow his dad forever and be his punching bag or he wants to be free. Shiv is not sure either she wants to follow her dad's footstep or she wants to proof herself that she is worthy to be a woman in general.
@@sadness3674 I actually kinda late of the show as I started watching in earlier this months and it took a month for me to finish it. Such a good show for these days.

One of the great benefits of the move to streaming is that it doesn't really matter if an episode is slightly longer or shorter than normal, so producers are free to have theme tunes with a bit more heft to them. Compare this to The Office, another classic theme. Sometimes they butchered it in order to keep the episodes to 30 minutes!
Also, notice how Logan looks younger in Season 1 with his darker hair but since Season 2, he starts to have his white hair. Let's assumed Season One Logan was on his 30's to 40's and Season 2 Logan was on his 50's to 60's.

@@Fondrom Yeah that's definitely supposed to represent Kendall surrounded by his friends (like Stewy). None of the others even seem to have friends LOL especially not Connor
I assumed tan suit with no head is Connor (present but everything revolves around Kendall), Kendall is the one smoking (Roman and Shiv are too young for whatever party this is), and presumably Stewy or someone like that in Kendall's circle is lighting him up.
I noticed Season 4's opening footage look blurred and faster compared to the first 3 openings which is a foreshadowing that none of the Roy kids get the CEO position. Also, the kid who drives the mini car might be kid Mattson as he has a blonde hair and none of the Roys have blonde hair. For me The Sopranos opening never got boring. Even in Succession the changes are so small that most people won't even notice it and it still didn't get boring.
Since the cast can change subtly from episode to episode I'm sure they have uploaded it without the actors' names as it may omit (or include) some people that aren't in every episode
The opening credits are not 100% accurate, they're just a representation. Connor is supposed to be in his mid 50s, so he`s like 16 years older than Ken.
Idk but im super curious as to why the “old” clips with the Roys aren’t as faithful to their physical traits when they grew up? I havent seen the last episode but i saw some spoilers about Tom… maybe the one in the old clips is Tom? Lmao same stance and height. Idk
I don't think the opening credits are supposed to be 100% accurate. However, it could be Tom if the young ginger is supposed to represent Shiv when she was in college, though it has always been interpreted as teen Shiv.
I read somewhere (wish I could find the original source) that the family in this isn't exactly the Roys, just to express the general idea of the story. Though I agree the stance and build of the dad looks so much like Matthew's.
I think it is about how children see their dad. He is not a tall guy at all but at clips he is tall and has broad shoulders. Image of a powerfull man. Also they always see his back so they can never reach him. Intro is children's memories and as all memories they are not %100 accurate.
Notice on the board of Logan's side, it's Gerri and Roman (probably because of the pose that Roman likes to let his head down) and on his right side is Stewie and probably Tom or Kendall
