@@kylerBD The issue is two-sided. Usually, but-scooters are good at subs, but shit at wrestling; and, conversely, wrestlers in BJJ (such as Dorian) excel at wrestling but have a shit sub-rate. You rarely get the complete package, unfortunately. One of the outstanding exceptions to this rule is Mica. He's not the only one, of course, but he's the one that came to my mind immediately.
@@anonymousreviewer169 i think that as the sport progresses we are gonna have more and more people who are gonna be able to wrestle and sub at a higher rate. The thing is that Dorian competes both in wrestling and bjj at a high level so he still has a very wrestling oriented game, more position heavy and less focused on subs. But kids nowadays who train wrestling from a young age to improve their bjj game are gonna have elite bjj wrestling by the time they are at the highest level. At least that's my opinion
That crazy pase he can keep up while passing combined with that elite level wrestling is so effective, not many -66kg guy will be able to wrestle up against him and put him on his back so he can go crazy while passing and just melt these world class guard players, very entertaining to watch!
@@markosamardzic4553 He's been training bjj as long as he's been training wrestling. His dad's a black belt and he's been training since a little kid. Also practices at B team.
1:07 to 3:40 was a really fun looking match. Super flexible guard work against relentless passing. He got in a bad way with a leg entanglement for a second but kinda just muscled out of it. Looks like maybe a small hole in his game.
Why is the ref reseting them with zero other matches happening. Gtfo of the way you dunce. There should have been ZERO resets in the final. This sport is so amateur..
This shows the value of the wrestling mentality in jiu jitsu. Good buddy outworked everyone, flat out. Hats off 👏🏽👏🏽
Yessir that’s why he is going to be great he is a true grappler gonna conintue to smash all the bjj guys that pull guard
I really hope the wrestling mindset takes over jiu jitsu, So tired of the guard pulling butt scooters everywhere.

He is going to be a problem at ADCC 2024
Pitbull sangue puro!! Brabo!!

Wow, that kid even made Ethan from B-Team seem slow
You have just killed the sitting on your butt and playing for most of us.
Great grappling, subpar videoing and editing
if he was to learn some bjj, he would be a machine
Guard passing is one of the hardest things in BJJ. Just as hard as that is submitting world class BJJ athlete's at 17.
@@kobejordan5518 I mean he isna highly skilled wrestler and you can see it..he has no real BJJ training, atleast not a deep one at that

Kids got that Mike Tyson neck.
I’d like to see Dorian with mica galvao team.
This kid is going to be a millionaire! Mexican pace in bjj!
It’s Mexican jiu jitsu now

His parents given him that steroid juice so he doesn't get tired when normal person would.
