It's dangerous to drink a fixed amount of water. The original article that said the human body needs approximately 2 litres of water a day added "but much of this will come from food and normal drinking such as tea and coffee." The human body has a remarkable indicator of low body water. It's called feeling thirsty.
I once saw an employee at a company I used to work at keel over with hyponatremia (lack of salt in the blood) , and she had to be taken to hospital. I had warned her of this, but after all, I'm not a doctor. No, but I read the entire article , nit just the cherry-picked quote. The lady did a sedentary desk job, which didn't help. I am pleased to say she did fully recover.

Speaking of drinking the right amount of fluid.
    -
I live in a climate that is usually hot to very hot.
    -
I, recently, met a man who went cycling and forgot to drink enough water.
    -
He was a slightly older gentleman.
    -
Afterwards, he was feeling out of sorts and eventually after two weeks he went to see his doctor.
    -
The doctor confirmed that his body did indeed need him to drink more fluid daily.
    -
In fact the part of his body that was effected was his heart.
    -
He now has to carry a heart monitor/defibrillator with him, at all times, for the next two weeks until his “new” surgeon can put a device like this but smaller, into his chest.
    -
I forgot to mention that he had a silent heart attack because of his lack of fluids.

@@gabrielmoro3d Unfortunately I know quite a bit , my mother died because of it and the complications it causes. She couldn't even remember to eat , drink or go to the toilet. Yes there are levels and they don't get any better. Carers already monitor food and water simply by having jugged or bottled water , having to remember to charge a smart bottle is another hassle on top of what is already a demanding job . My mum was constantly losing and breaking things , so that's something else to consider. Yes the bottles have a place , but sometimes simplicity is best.

This might be the DUMBEST thing apple has ever been affiliated with. This is absolutely a giant waste of time and money. In terms of medical conditions they tend to limit to intake not want people to drink more! All fluids would have to be put into the mug and who knows how accurate it would be. On top of all that it’s a 70 dollar mug.. typically the people that struggle with remembering how much fluid they have to drink are not in the income class to afford a 70 dollar bottle. I like smart watches to a degree, and smart homes can be useful. But a smart water bottle is absolutely ridiculous

I expected it to be way more expensive. So for what it does and if you have a need for it the price seems fair to me.
The only flaw that I see? For it to track your water intake accurately it basically needs to be your *only* bottle and the *only* thing you drink out of.
It's not really for me though because 1. I prefer sparkling water and 2. I track my water intake through my SodaStream. Each bottle I prepare with it is about one litre so I just have to count the bottles I prepared. Done.
I actually find that way more effective to motivate me to drink more water. I know that I have an "unlimited" supply of sparkling water (until the gas cartridge is empty that is) so I just drink more.

There is no way and will form that wireless charging could increase the cost as the wireless charging pads that I have integrated into a few of my random electronics is a very thin coil with a bit of tape surrounding it that can very very easily fit with several things, including a water bottle😂

Insane how the body is well built. Usually when you are thirsty then it means it is time to drink. Over drinking is also dangerous

Can I put beer in it and then it would remind me I need to drink more beer and if I drank my goal, will it ask me to drink even more beer?

No one can easily track their sleep without technology. Watches are inadequate for real sleep data. I use Dreem 2 which is a PSG that measures brain activity, heart rate, respiratory rate and movement and it has an app that helps you with sleep practices after analysing the your data.

I want them to make a fitness tracker that can go somewhere other than my wrist, I work in a warehouse so it’s very hard to wear a watch without putting it at risk to be damaged

      Maybe a G shock, mudman ?
Not a fitness tracker but a great rugged watch and quite affordable for what it is
It seems they also have a rugged fitness tracker but it's very expensive
As much as a mid-range mobile
It has cool features and solar though
      So up to you
