Parked buss tactic was 2012... it only worked because the characters! Lamps, terry, drogba was passed their prime but somehow they just need to win it! Its was for the themselfes for all their hard work and loyalty toward the club! But also for Roman and the fans, we might had 20manager during their time but loyalty was Drogba, jt, lamps and roman that always had same goal CL!

He was not underrated by any stretch. He was a good defensive midfielder who contributed nothing offensively. I think he was lucky to have played for such a good Chelsea team.

Nothing's wrong with player power when the players are legends. Chelsea's players really just wanted to win. At other clubs it would more be an issue of individuals throwing tantrums, which disrupts everything. That group of Drogba, Lampard, Cech, Cole and Terry were serial winners that could carry even the worst manager to a CL run and a top4 finish.
John Obi - Mikel is a brilliant guy on a podcast, could listen for hours on end.. And what a player, Superb and I say this as a Arsenal fans and Ghanaian who had so many sad times infront of the TV lool

like Simon said, Roman was a different type of owner. Pepe probo wouldn't work under an owner like that. Pep builds teams(at clubs with tremendous power and influence I must add, could he build at millwall?) while the majority if not all the Chelsea managers in Mikel's time atleast, they were brought in to win instantly with the ready made stars they had.
Its the fact Chelsea had so many stars that they had that power to make a manager disappear. in this day and age things are different. look at sancho for example lol
