    The recipe -
Crispy Chicken Thighs with Mac and Cheese
1 cup elbow pasta, cooked al dente and drained
    1 cup cheddar cheese
    ½ cup parmesan cheese
    2 Tbs butter
    2 Tbs flour
    ¾ cup milk
    ¾ cup heavy cream
    ½ cup mozzarella cheese (optional)
    Salt and pepper to taste
½ cup cheddar cheese for the topping
8 chicken thighs, bone in, skin on
    salt
Set the oven to 425 Fahrenheit.
Sprinkle the chicken with salt and place on a wire rack on a baking sheet. Bake in the oven for about 30-45 minutes until the skin is golden and crispy and the meat cooked.
In a large pan melt the butter and add the flour. Whisk in the cream and milk and cook on a low heat until the sauce thickens. Stir in the parmesan and cheddar. Season with salt and pepper. Add the pasta and stir in. Spoon into a casserole dish, sprinkle with the cheddar and bake for about 20 minutes.

Imagine in comments. You can also put sugar in chicken. Pre mix with sugar and chicken, lay it in there, Put some 2 cups of creamy milk, then put a whole butter in it, then heat it up, add powder, pat pat pat, into the batter. After that, deep fry it. and there you go. Sweet chicken with random ingredients.

So many comments on my only salting the chicken before roasting. It's English roast chicken not southern friend chicken, don't confuse the two. Just salting makes the skin incredibly crisp and delicious and you really get to taste the chicken. You don't have to smother every protein you cook in herbs and spices. Look at the roast chicken Michelin star chef Thomas Keller cooks... www.thecomfortofcooking.com/2015/05/thomas-keller-3-ingredient-roasted-chicken.html

I just made this delicious meal, in the middle of the afternoon, day after Christmas. The Macaroni and Cheese is so flavorful and eating it with the chicken is a perfect combination. If you seasoned this chicken with sauces and whatever, it would take away from the beautiful fragrant Mac & Cheese. Thank you for sharing this recipe with us.

Another commenter said you"re a ray sunshine and they're right and you are. We love your royal stories , they give a more human side to the lives of the royals. I am a huge fan of the royals, watched every royal wedding since Prince Edward's, only missed Princess Eugenie's.
They maybe princes, but like any other lids, William and Harry loved what other kids loved, simple fare like roast chicken abd Mac and cheese. My mom made the best homemade Mac and cheese , really miss it now that she's gone. Tried to make it after she passed and haven't tried since.

mac and cheese is the first thing I ever learned how to make from scratch at the age of 15 and ignited my love of cooking. this is the exact same recipe I used back then. Now when I do this cheese sauce ill usually experiment with different cheese and spice blends. My latest has been a smoked gouda and fontina mix with a touch of cayenne pepper.

Everyone joking about the spices, it’s actually true. UK was plagued in the past with food adulteration which included overly spiced meats to cover the rot. Thus not spicing foods became equivalent to healthy non toxic food and it just became a dietary cultural norm.
