What a lovely tour around Whitby thanks it’s much appreciated, only been there once briefly years ago so lovely to see it again. Sunlight through the abbey ruin windows magical 😊. Church fantastic too

Eh up, you are in my neck of the woods now. The ship in Whitby harbour is a replica of Captain Cooks ship The Endeavour. If you check up on the history of Captain Cook all will be revealed.
Glad you like the Grand hotel in Scarborough, that also has a very interesting history attached to it. It does tend to get slagged off a bit, but trouble is many people want 4star accommodation for 2star prices.
