Was wondering if you do all stages of one side before flipping over to do the other side?
I have MDF wood that is raw with maybe a few grease spots that has soaked in, but most of it is all clean. I took off the vinyl coating from the MDF wood, and I easily just peeled it all off. Do I prime the MDF wood cabinet first and then apply the paint? I am using the Snow Owl color. Thank you.😊
Great video! I’m trying to learn how to spray the Wise Owl primer. Do you use a 1.8mm or a 2.0mm nozzle when you use a sprayer? Do you thin it?
To be honest I’m not sure the size of the needle in my sprayer. It’s just one size and I don’t have to change it out. I do thin the primer a little. No more than 10%.
I just loaded another video with a French Provincial desk that I sprayed with the primer and chalk synthesis paint.
I’m doing kitchen cupboards with inkwell. I’ve done 2 coats and I still see brush strokes. I did the prep and 2 coats of primer. Any suggestions? I’m going to put a third coat on.
Terrific tutorial! I'm refinishing a vintage kitchen cabinet where I will be using the Wise Owl One Hour Enamel. The original piece was painted white and had some red and black floral motifs. I do have a question. This paint is self-leveling so does that mean the surface must be horizontal when paint is applied? I have not used this type of paint before. I see you used the F45 brush for this door. I picked up the F40 and F30. First time using these brushes. Thank you!
Catherine Costa I’m so sorry! I just saw your comment. I don’t brush horizontal typically, I do try to go against gravity, so brush up.

Great video! Is this ok to use on countertops? (once cleaned, sanded, and primed, of course ;)
So you can use the OHE on countertops, I have had customers do this. Keep in mind it won’t be a permanent solution and with heavy use you could have issues.

Great video! I have a few questions. I painted my cabinets (I suppose they are laminate faux wood) years ago with Dixie Belle mineral paint, I loved the way they turned out, and they held up very well for the last five years as far as durability…however using their Gator Hide NON-yellowing top coat it actually has recently yellowed. So I’m looking for a way to repaint them, but I’m so worried about them turning yellow. It looks like with this wise owl one hour enamel it’s not necessary to use a topcoat. I just wanna make sure I’m clear on that? My next question is, how would you suggest painting over these preprinted cabinets? would I need to lightly sand them first or just a primer? The cabinets are a color called dropcloth which is off-white. I will probably be doing a similar color for the repaint. Ty!
Hi there!
So I would recommend a really thorough cleaning, make sure to rinse any cleaning products after, and then you will need to prime, two coats, and then, two coats of the one hour enamel. You do not need to top coat. Hope this helps!

Candice Williams yes, you would do both sides of the doors, if that’s what you wanted.
My kitchen cabinets are 4years old. Can I apply this one to my cabinet doors? (After clean my cabinet doors I can apply or I need to apply primer then apply this?)
You will always want to apply two coats of wise owl primer after proper prep before using the one hour enamel.

@@sangeetha48 primer color is not based on the current cabinet color. Primer color is based on what color you want to paint your cabinets.
It says do not wax but I’ve seen people wax over it, is it fine to be waxed After a seal coat?
I would not. You can use glaze on this if that’s a look your going for, however, you will need to seal your glaze.
Also, you don’t need to seal this paint unless you are suing a glaze. Top coat is all built in.
Can I use a roller to paint?
Yes, you can! Just make sure to load enough paint on the roller to allow it to self level. 😊
Is your brush wet?
Denise Musgrave no, I do not use a wet brush with OHE.

Hi Linda,
This is incorrect. Standard practice and use with one hour enamel always requires the use of wise owl stain eliminating primer.
The chalk synthesis may not always require a primer.
