if you disregard the aura (cant dodge that damage), vincent is very easy. i did it with sword and 2 counters. he behaves differently when you're close. all attacks are very telegraphed.
I swear, Tristian spammed that fire crossbow attack at me way more lol. I think that was the toughest hurdle for me in this fight, other than his new spin-to-win. Didn't try double shield/counter though.
I think the key to him not spamming crossbow attacks is the skeletons. Whenever he changes to melee down the skeleton, it gives you some time to recover cooldowns, deal damage, or make distance.
Problem is using double shield / counter means less damage and prolong the battle, the longer the battle, the harder it becomes. In my case when i hit and run Tristan i only stumbled across more enemies even goreswine, making survival even harder.
@@Neyreyan There's always a little bit of rng included with every boss, even if you move perfectly. But the crossbow can be dodged by sidestepping too if needed. You just need to change direction as soon as the projectile is in the air.
Ranged and skeles seems just so much better than everything else. I've been trying to avoid them but I don't think I'll be continuing on brutal if I do.
Ended up using the same setup to beat him. I also used the summon skeletons ult, they deal a lot of damage to bosses that don't have any aoe attacks to quickly finish them off and they also give you a lot of time to damage the boss while he's occupied with them
Yep, ward of the damned and blood/frost shields were my go to setup for many bosses on brutal. But there's also a lot of bosses I was able to beat relatively easy with corrupted skull + chaos valley. The only thing glued to my hands regardless of situation was the longbow lmao
You should show your load outs. Ive seen players who focus on the wrong types of builds, be it magic or movement. It might also be nice to see you show the area you fight him in. Kept having other v-bloods wondering towards where I was fighting him. lol
I watch these videos and I am constantly reminded that in my attempt to have fun with offensive spells I am punished, because offensive spells are terrible in PvE and the best strategy by a mile is to have ward of the damned + some other shield/counter.
The Brutal difficulty is a whole new game indeed, it's all about figuring out how to avoid damage. In the Normal difficulty, some offensive spells are usually the way to go. Luckily there's both options available.
The problem with the bosses are all those bastards minions spawnin on the roads, but i dont see anyone here. It took me around 2 hrs triying to defeat this boss because those f*kin minions
Very nice gameplay, i just got be in ACT II, but honestly, the game feel more and more annoying with too much patrol, having to cheese the game and looking for guidance. Boss feel like dark souls, waiting for opening an not waste def skill. A was attending more like a hack and slash game?
Thanks! Which difficulty level are you playing on? I think the lower difficulties are more like a hack and slash, while the Brutal difficulty adds in Dark Soulslike mechanics.
@@CrimsonSilhouetteGaming I am on normal, i change loot rule(got more stuff and craft faster), dommage and health from stuff. It' nice they put these option for server, now i can advance fastly and being "bad" at the game
So you CAN use two shield spells in the game! I just automatically assumed you were either limited to one at a time or they'd share the same cooldown, so I never tested it.
These are amazing but it would be cool to see some melee builds/weapons used. I prefer the melee playstyle and would like to see how you approach brutal bosses with melee builds. Even if it wasnt no hit -10 I just would love to see some good strats for melee on brutal mode. Awesome stuff though!
for some bosses mele is very good, i play mele with two counter spells, you do a lot of damage and with sword you have practically 4 "dodges" so its very effective but for bosses like Tristan its youst dont work becouse of fire and this spinning thing, you are to close to escape from that. I beat him mele to secound phase and finish with bow
Honestly… skill nonetheless but I have some serious doubts idk, this seems WAYYY slowed down compared to when I fought him, he would back to back the fire shot where I’d use both cds and movement to dodge them and have nothing left, yet you’re able to wait a 9 second period inbetween?.. and fire whirl phase lasted like 4 seconds for you meanwhile it’s like 10+ normally when I did it?… these no hits are weird because I’m finding them to look way slower than when I did boss, specially a no hit drac on brutal.
The key to many bosses is to find the movement pattern where the boss will act like you want it to act. The AI has certain rules it follows based on player distance, skills it has used recently, etc. Against Tristan if you just stay in mid range and keep sidestepping, he will be bombarding you with arrows all the time. That's why I'm running in a back-and-forth pattern and making him use some attacks on the skeletons, which will give me time to recover cooldowns.
Often when watching somebody else do something stressful/difficult/unfamiliar it doesn’t look as hard as it feels when you do it yourself -I was watching this and thinking similar thoughts (I was actually thinking “I dunno I was on fire a lot more when I fought Tristan”) but that made me look at the spell slots and realize he was using double shield spells, and the comment he made about using the mob AI to your advantage dispelled any remaining doubts… but I’ll be back to comment if I’m still on fire for the whole fight 😂
Good video - one thing that would be nice if you have time would be to say in the video description maybe the short form strat (use ranged weapons and shield spells keep in a middle distance) and/or what your spell slots are for the fight, but I look forward to trying this because I haven’t been able to get Tristan yet
Nice video, but somehow my Tristan behaves way more agressive. Even with your setup i can't do him. Sadly i'll have to write a thumbs down review for the game for how ridiculous overtuned the difficulty is. Sadge. The devs could have done better.
The key to making him less aggressive is running in the back and forth pattern. If you stay too long at mid range, he will be bombarding you with arrows.
He got nerfed with an update. I Beat him on brutal. Went to another pve server a few weeks ago after the update and had the same issues. About the only place you can fight him is in the south without other v-bloods take a stroll into your fight. Had to cancel the fight twice. Had simon and the sun priestess both randomly show up. Like he said, knowing their routes is important but Tristan will now try to close the distance way more.
That wolf form dodge was eye opening, never considered that.
Me neither, very educational
I opened my mouth in surprise when he started running away in the form of a wolf.
Now I want to see Vincent, "no hit" 😂😂😂😂😂 I'm saying Vicent in Brutal, it's insane!!

Its still rng based, sometimes he would spam fire and his crossbow in such a way i couldt retrat

Yep! Brutal has so many more mechanics that can't be dodged by sidestepping that in many bosses it feels like a must.

Do Dracula and Adam on brutal, no hit, 10lvl lower :D

Do you think it's possible to do bosses no hit without spells?
Some bosses probably are. Especially if you use many different weapons and use their avoidance abilities to counter things.

Fighting with 10 levels lower and Frail blood tends to have that effect.
