- A compilation of archival photographs of Rajiv Gandhi. He was the 6th Prime Minister of India from 1954 to 1989. He was married to Edvige Antonia Albina Màino, who changed her name to Sonia Gandhi and made India her home. Their first child, a son, Rahul Gandhi was born in 1970. In 1972, the couple had a daughter, Priyanka Gandhi. He went to Delhi and became a member of the Flying Club, where he was trained as a pilot. In 1970, he was employed as a pilot by Air India.

I was a kid and I don't even know him personally because I'm from a remote corner of north east but I cried when Rajiv Gandhi died....theirs was such a really beautiful family ...I guess Sonia and Rahul are in politics not because they like it but because they want to keep the legacy of Rajiv Gandhi...but over the years I feel that power has corrupted them and I see no joy in their faces..i'm most certain that things would have been different if Rajiv Gandhi was around..sir!you are really missed

We really miss the Rajiv Gandhi days. His efforts to appraise girl's education. Giving better pension to retired people, putting across the vision of IT and Telecom. We had so many cultural collaborations and exchanges with the country. PARAM super computer. STD booths. He also tried to work towards peace with Pakistan and was also successful in resolving conflicts with them. SAARC was endowed in his time. He was really doing a good job as the Prime Minister of the country with new visions which we all enjoy now. Unfortunately media hegemony and propaganda made him a victim of Bofors. And the same Bofors won us the war. It is still not understood was it to let him down because he was doing good for the country. Modi borrowed ideas of Dr. Manmohan Singh and basking in glory. He had the opportunities but what a let down. Where the country has gone. Where is our Indian Ethos now. We trusted Modi so much. We thought he was like Rajiv Gandhi but unfortunately under him India has converted to be the biggest unemployed country in last 45 years and people are fighting and hating each other. Worst is the way TV channels are behaving. Rajiv Gandhi is a martyr and Mrs. Sonia Gandhi and the entire family should be respected. But Media and opposition parties are playing very dirty game. His slogan Mera Desh Mahan and Desh ko banana hein had a deep impact in many of us when we were students and studying.
