The random Champions League idea sounds really fun
The "random representative" European competition sounds great fun, but a World version of that would be superb!
A random Club World Cup would be so good. Get matches like Brackley vs Santos or Melbourne Victory vs Louisville.
@@adzter96 I want to see Tre Penne vs Man City 🤣
@@adzter96 SANTOS MENTIONED?
The Into Toto Cup - The team from each European nation whose captain is the most into Toto gets in.
Spurs qualify when Son Heung-Min plays the groove from “Mushanga”, for example.
This is the dumbest thing ever *clicks thumbs up*
Lautaro Martinez's tearful rendition of "Rosanna" grants Inter Milan automatic qualification.
Newcastle qualify after Jamaal Lascelles is seen blessing the rains down in Africa
The random champions league idea sounds fun, but a tournament with the most bottom league you could get should also be fun, seeing an amateur team from Spain against a team from San Marino playing for glory
The UI Cup had two phases:
In the beginning, it was a tournament to fill the void during summer, designed for clubs that didn't get to play in other European competitions. Later on, it essentially became a pre-qualifier for the UEFA Cup (the predecessor of the Europa League).
Excellent! I remember you actually replied to me a few months ago on Twitter about a similar idea I had where the Conference League was literally only for teams in the "conference" or non-league around Europe, nice to see this on the same lines as that
Man, Ayr United, big up indeed! Quill18's videos are what introduced me to F.M. I am another example of the Paradox -> Sports Interactive pipeline :P
Imagine the Polish FA Cup winners is Wisła Kraków, which plays in UEL qualifying and second tier of Polish Football
If they don't go up to the Ekstraklasa, but win the UEL (so unlikely), they would've been playing UCL, while in 1 liga 😂
xD its funny because for Poland this year in Europa League will be playing Wisła Kraków wich qualified for this beeing curently in 2nd tier due to Polish Cup winning (they promoted to Ekstraklasa but still you get my point)
they ain't playing in Ekstraklasa, they are still in 1 Liga
Was a really fun video, love your idea for the champions league too, this is what I love in the french cup, starting from the top 64, any team can play against everyone, nothing more exciting than an oversees team playing a ligue a tier team
You know what would weirdly be a fun idea, do this but for another champions league, not just the European Champions League. Like it sounds like a fun idea and you would potentially see weird teams in Asia, like just imagine a Tajikistan team in the Asian Champions League. I think this is why I weirdly like the idea of a true International Glory Hunter idea but only using lower level countries leagues to win the tournaments so you are basically building nations at the same time and trying to change the sphere of modern football. Like I would weirdly in Oceania basically create a star Vanuatu club team to basically rival the Kiwi clubs.
Some teams don't need this to play in UEFA competitions whilst in the second tier, like Wigan
That random champions league database sounds like complete chaos, we need to see it happen!
I remember having an idea a while back of a UEFA competition where the lowest ranked teams play against other amateur/semi pro sides, for example you could have a San Marino team playing against an English non-league side.
Again no coefficients or anything, they just get randomly thrown in!
Just as you said it my local team FC Wil from Switzerland appeared 5:44
Fabian Schär actually came through that academy
8:25 couldn’t agree more
Thank you. A work of Genius!
Bring on the random Champions League - the level playing field we all dream of
I think it would be a blast to see how the most reputable sides in T2 of England, Spain, Germany, Italy, and France handle themselves in the UCL. I'd also like to see what happens to the top tier leagues if they lose their UCL qualification spots.
That random Champions League sounds chaotic and I would like to see it.
Loved seeing Balzers in the Qualifying Rounds, especially because a) Liechtenstein does not have a Champions League spot, b) Liechtenstein does not have its own League System, therefore no second tier either and c) because they don't even play in the second tier of the Swiss System
It's always a good day when Matt uploads
A proper SYC/Football Clichés crossover would be glorious
Wonder if it's possible in FM editor to make tournaments that are only semi-pro. There was that one FC United played in that got a BBC News article before.
would love a random champions league
Hoffenheim getting relegated is quite suprising since they usually finish in the top 7 in the Bundesliga
That Group C in the first simulation is kind of crazy due to 3/4 teams having played actual European football in the past 10 years and all of those teams had a massive downfall after that.
I want a random UCL and a fair play UCL
The 4 Aston Villa champions league wins are accurate the way that Unai is running the club
Oh please do the random champions league - that sounds like chaos!
Hamburg and Leeds back in the day that could’ve been an actual Champions League group
Random Champions League sounds good.
Should have made the English representatives from League One!
Great video matto ❤
Schalke going out is actually…. Not surprising but I don’t think that would happen if it actually happened
And Fortuna dusseldorf almost got into first division this year so that one makes sense to me
As a Sirius Fan I am so glad we atleast got something😭
Seeing bankrupt Oostende in qualifiers while they have played in Europe before, just 😢😢😢
Hi matt. Do u think the random teams for europe could be a good way to build a nation
So, quick question, which you probably didn't check for... In the case of Gibraltar and San Marino, who send top flight teams to this cup, is there a chance that a team might qualify for an actual European tournament and also be selected to play in this tournament? And if so, how do the schedules work then?
I wonder if you could code it so that the winner gets automatic conference league the following season (provided the get promoted into the first tier)?
FC Vaduz would be qualifying in two competitions at once, then?
That would be something interesting haha
or how does that qualifying work?
Great to see Finn harps in there my local team UTH 🔵⚪
5:44 KKD team Cambuur is my local team!!
MADE IT TO THE QUARTER FINALS LETS GOOOOO
My local club Västerås SK was there💚🤍 although i guess you were simulating from the Superettan 2023 season because Västerås SK actually got promoted from the 2nd division Superettan & is currently playing in Allsvenskan, though we are dead last
Wonder did my locsl side finn harps get are best European results as previously we were defeated 10-0 by derby county and 12-0 by Celtic on aggregate in 2 uefa cup wins during the 70s.
Relegation League? Only teams that are relegated last year can play
The Polish Club - Wisła Kraków are now fighting in qualifications for Europa League, the thing is that in 23/24 season they was on 10th postion of Polish 2nd tier of Football (I Liga Polska)
Did the English winners of this cup and was promoted to the premier league at the same time, participate in the cup the next season as the current holders of the cup and a premier league team? Don't know if I'm wording myself correctly.
Bring back the career ressurection
I'm only 5 minutes in so sorry if this has been covered, but I wonder if the B- teams will register their first team players for this competition
As a Genoano, I am so glad to see Sunderland, Genoa, Cremonese, and HSV winning
LOL, Doria lost in the final
6:31 just a nitpick but dundee and dundee united are 2 different teams lol
Is there a way to do a Champions League where once you win you can never qualify again?
Fortuna Düsseldorf as my hometown team in there, Auf geht's Fortuna, Kämpfen und Siegen!
Edit: I'll take two finals
You should do a non league champions league
Please do the chaos video, please.
Is this AlexTheRamblers alt?
randomize every playeble nation fm 24
great idea
Plsss do the random representative please I wanna see that
Flint town 🔥
Hear me out: winner of this goes to the conference league
Nah bro, it's second tier teams, they are absolute trash
Mechelen!!!
INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSLEAGUE INTERNATIONAL CHAMPIONSLEAGUE
It’s Dundee Utd, not Dundee. Kappa
Even here Schalke is a joke

Wow. 51st.
Not your fault but all these experiments fail because the game is overpowered for English teams. It's been like that for years. I understand the creators are British and so have bias towards those leagues and clubs but it's a global game, so that lets it down big time.
Yes and no. The Championship is also the strongest 2nd division in Europe, financially, attendance, history, quality of players, etc. in real life. Based on reputation of clubs (especially right now) and attendance only the 2. Bundesliga comes close, I don't think even the Spanish or Italian 2nd tiers are close at all.
@@thargoff disagree entirely, then again you are British so you are doing exactly what I said the game developers have done.
Look at every other game that rates teams and players in the second tier. EASFC has 9 clubs from the Championship rated 71 or higher - more than Serie B, La Liga 2 and Ligue 2 combined.
eFootball 2024 (PES), developed and published in Japan, rates 26 players at a 75 or better among the 2nd tiers, 17 of whom are in the Championship. They don't appear to give team ratings, though.
Maybe you're right in there being an English bias, but why would every other game rate the Championship higher?
@@soccch you are naming games which are made for the UK market or have UK studios involved, yes, that includes PES.
There's a bias to English leagues, which has never been justified. Attendance does not equal quality, nor does money, so that's two you can delete from your basis for it being justified. It's not.
