    How good that Azusa has a caring aunt and uncle who treat her well and support her, unlike her parents - who saw both of their children as tools for their convenience.

      And honestly, those parents are truly delusional. Just because your son is a sports prodigy, doesn't mean they're going to go professional. They foolishly put their eggs in one basket and those eggs ended up cracking

    I know I said this plenty of time but let me remind you all as a human being who wants to create a good faith and attitude.
    Dear parents, please do not compare your children who's much more better. They have their own talents, thinking, and weakness. Favoritism can affect your family, friendship, siblings, lovers or couple or whatever that includes. So, the only thing you have to do is to be fair with each other.

      You can also look at it that his parents were only using him for their own interests. Although the story did not talk about it, I’m sure the parents were putting a lot of pressure on him to be successful and support a lavish lifestyle for them.

    • @girl1213
      @girl1213 2 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Some people are rooting for the brother to go pro in the gaming industry, but that's only if he hasn't absorbed his parents' toxicity and is actually working for it rather than expecting it. If he goes down a better path, he can likely earn Azusa's forgiveness...but like I said, it all hinges on the hope that 1) he has always been different from his parents, or 2) he has matured and grown up/learned with failure.
      Too bad the story ends there so we can't know for sure. As either scenerio, good and bad, are likely.

    I’ve said this many times before and I will continue saying it again favoritism never leads to anything good and if you can’t love both your children equally throughout both their faults and talents then don’t bother having kids at all; especially if all you’re gonna do is use them for your own convenience!!
    Children are not tools they are human beings and individuals who need love support from both sides equally and be there for them through the good and bad times!
    If you can’t do that,then like these two you’re not a true parent…you may have birthed them that doesn’t mean you raised them!!

    I knew a similar family that this happened to, except it was two daughters. The mom was a Karen and dance mom, she always favored the older of the two daughters whereas the younger daughter was ignored and dumped on.
    The older daughter got taken in by this big New York City ballet company, so she and the parents moved to NYC with money that they didn’t have. The younger daughter got a full scholarship to a dance school in Paris, and afterwards was accepted by a big ballet dance company there.
    The older daughter was injured after being pushed too hard to compete with her younger sister. The NYC ballet company dumped her. The parents went broke living in NYC, the older daughter suffered a permanent disability after her injury was improperly treated. The parents got divorced.

At least the older daughter didn’t become a spoiled brat and was nowhere near cruel, but the younger daughter always followed her heart and dreams to become a ballet dancer and now she finally got her dream she wanted: Competing in Ballet Competitions! By the way, what’s the older daughter’s name and what’s the younger daughter’s name?

    Maybe the brother will aim to become a pro gamer? 🤔
    But lolz
    Poor guy probably realized baseball wasn't what he was really into and found an easy out to quit. Feels like this would be one where the siblings would meet further down the line a reconnect now that the parents have been "thoroughly disappointed by their children".
    😂

    • @girl1213
      @girl1213 2 ปีที่แล้ว +4

      If he hasn't absorbed their toxicity, then I can get behind him trying for pro in gaming. But even if it's just a simple hobby where he can find accomplishment in even without going pro, then he's a winner. But of course this all hinges on the fact he doesn't think himself special or overly deserving of something he hasn't worked for. And also accepting failure: that's the biggest one since obviously his parents certainly can't accept failure.

  • @Zurround
    @Zurround 2 ปีที่แล้ว +19

    Too often when FAVORITISM happens people claim that the parents only love the child that they "favor" but NO. At least in THIS story (and probably the others as well) they do not love EITHER child.
    Part of LOVING someone is doing what is best for that person. Not just what LOOKS best or what gives the best outcome in the short term (like cheating on the homework so that the kid can get more fame) but what is ULTIMATELY best. Making his sister do his homework is NOT teaching him good morals and ethics, it is NOT setting good boundaries, and it is NOT the best for his OVERALL EDUCATION.
    The parents are just using him as a TOOL so that they can have BRAGGING RIGHTS for a famous son. His fame and popularity will give THEM fame and popularity by extension for being the parents of a famous athlete. But ultimately they are just USING him and do not love him either. BOTH children are victims here.

      I knew a dance mom with two daughters in a similar situation. The older daughter got a spot in the New York City Ballet, so the parents moved with her to NYC. The younger daughter actually got a scholarship to a prominent dance school in Paris, FRANCE and afterward got in with this big Paris ballet company.
      Her older sister suffered an injury and was forced to leave. The parents and older sister went broke living in NYC, the parents got a divorce and the older sister is unfortunately crippled for life as a result of her injury not being properly treated.
