Followed you on TH-cam for a few years. You helped me get dialled in for wahoo here in Queensland Australia. Universal knowledge Thanks for your videos.
Best educational program for offshore fishing out there bar none! I also subscribe to FSFTV and recommend it highly. I am catching more fish in the Gulf of Mexico out of Texas using a lot of these techniques, lures and rigging techniques! Thanks Mike! Much appreciated!
I just picked up a pair of the Nomad DTX 180HD and they are getting smashed at 15 mph down here in Puerto Rico. I highly recommend !! We also run the other dtx minnows and madmacs with excellent results.
Do you find the hook up and landing wahoo on hard bodies is as good as skirts generally? I think I always do better with hook up and landing wahoo on skirts vs hardbodies, more weight near the mouth and those angry wahoo head shakes. I rarely troll over 15knots for them, so can generally run either type of lure, I find skirts easier and don’t run trolling weights either. Thanks for the info!
Where can I buy the new 180 DTX? I can't find it on Nomad or elsewhere that I have searched.. I think it would be perfect to run in my riggers.... Thanks Mike.
The first dtx minnow I got was unstoppable. The next 3 I got brand new wouldn't swim no matter what I did. Tried every type of rigging possible. It looks like water is filling the lure bodies. Let us know if theres a secret to tuning the auto tune... Its so sad because the first one was un stoppable.
I’ve been using Nomad Minnows to troll for wahoo down here in Ecuador and they dont’t hold the speed, i’ve been using the 165 and love in, lora of wahoo caught but they swim only up to 8 knots 😢
I'm watching from Minnesota. My interest in your lures and video is because I am a muskie fisherman. If you want to expand your business, I would like to suggest marketing your lures to the freshwater muskie industry. It might be a small market but I think you could sell some lures and leaders. Just a suggestion.
@AngelZLopez I'd buy a couple of lures. The muskie fishermen that fish the St. Lawrence Seaway and the Great Lakes troll more than the guys in the Midwest do.
I love the dtx and madmacs. I have honestly had way more success just tweaking my tuna and mahi lures off NJ. I usually run 2 trackers with skirted ballyhoo on long leaders from the tracker itself. I shot gun a splash bar with another long leadered skirted ballyhoo. Then 2 hard plugs, either dtx or madmac and usually a flatlined islander. I pull that usually around 8ish mph and it's been deadly in our 20-30 fathom areas. The plugs i run on mono. The ballys have 6ft of wire. I learned my lesson a few years ago getting bit off
Welcome to gulf coast fishing! You don’t have to go 100 miles, I’ve seen them @ 60 miles off Venice/Sarasota in the summer. Granted Pully Ridge has a better chance st them, but they absolutely come in a lot closer than 100 miles.

Do you add the Vmc 8700 9/0 to every plug? Do you use a smaller hook for the 180 or 165?

Hello Capt,
Is that a 5000 yard spool of Diamond Yardline braid?
Didn’t think they made it in large spools.
Who the hell needs 5000 yards on a reel!

Do you use the same 8700 9/0 hook for all sizes?
