An X-M1 is an even cheaper option if you don't feel you want or need a viewfinder. I sold an X-M1 to buy an X-Pro1 and I can see no difference between the image quality of the two.
Yea I don’t think it’s a worthwhile upgrade from just the image quality alone, but I need a camera that’s able to be used in both a professional & street setting. If it wasn’t for the need for speed when it comes to event and portrait work, I would of held on to the beautiful xpro1 for as long as I could. Appreciate your input, and thanks for watching!
@@serr The xpro-3 will not give you that ,maybe you should look to xpro-2 which has screen on the back and better OVF for street usage then xpro-3.Pro-3 OVF frames are pretty much unusable for anything under 23mm and longer then 50mm, so if you 18mm (28mm FF) shooter or going portrait (from 56 and up) you will have to use EVF.
@@eagleeyephoto8715 You’re really convincing me on the xpro 2. I’ll have to rethink it some more! I picked up the xe4 so I’ll look into purchasing a xpro a little down the line. Thanks for the help!
@@serr Can I conflictingly step in with a rival viewpoint? For me the 18mm still works good for me with the X-Pro3, though you do miss a little give with the frame-line that you had on the earlier models. I find that with OVF it pretty much exactly frames up with the physical edge of the viewfinder. Ultimately I do love the X-Pro3, it's my favourite one so far having owned all the ones in the series. The LCD design and build quality is great and it's just so snappy. However the X-Pro2 is still a fantastic camera. I used both for both pro and street work. Obviously mileage may vary but with the 18mm being my favourite lens it still works well for me with the latest. X-Pro3 has great image quality but... I do agree there's something special about the X-Pro1 sensor, something that I miss sometimes - that extra filmic quality.
Have you gotten a chance to use the 16mm 1.4 on your xpro3? It’s not really a deal breaker if I have to resort to using the evf when using anything wider than a 18mm lens. But I’m really happy to see someone using the xpro 3 for professional work. I’ll see if I can get an xpro3 for a decent price, if not I’m sure the xpro2 will be enough. Thanks for your input Peter!

Love your work! Quick question: how are you able to check your focus with the back button while using a manual/adapted lens + OVF??
i have an x-pro2 (assuming it's similar) and you just press and hold on the disp/back button until the custom buttons menu comes up. you then select the back button and assign it to be 'focus check. then when you press it while in OVF, the evf will appear in the VF to preview the focus. once you've taken the shot, it flips back away and you see through the OVF again. hope that helps :)
I love my xpro 1! Do you have any film recipes that you use?
I always shoot with the B&W green filter simulation on the xpro-1 bro! Then I either leave the original b&w jpg or edit it in Lightroom. I haven’t really tried messing around with any film recipes on this camera.
wow. your style is amazing!
Thank you I appreciate that!
@@serr so glad i stumbled upon your channel a couple of weeks ago. i am highly impressed by the quality of your videos & photos. keep it up :-) oh and btw. do you use the glimmer glass filter also with the x-pro1 when shooting pictures? there is some fog-like quality that i really like in your nightshots
@@alexanderviechtbauer2704 Can’t thank you enough for watching the videos man really. & yes, I used the glimmerglass filter for most of the shots!
@@serr sure thing man! wish you all the best with your channel. & thanks, gotta get me one of those filters for my X-E1 :-) love the gen 1 sensor.
@@alexanderviechtbauer2704 let me know how you like it if you end up buying it! I have the 1 strength but sometimes I think it’s a little too strong. Continue having fun with your xe1 :)
You have a very pleasant voice and it's clear also, but when you use underlaying music, mix it low.
Less is more 😉
best best
Got it 👍 thanks for the help! Just started this channel so it’s nice to get some feedback. Appreciate you watching.
Hi! Whats recipes do u used for this photos with The xpro1?
love your style!
Appreciate you!
What settings did you use for those pictures?
Hi there what would you say is a good price for xpro 1?
surprisingly good review
How is your iso performance so good?? My will habe waaay more noise :(
Edit: which lens was it exactly?
I try to keep it under 1600 ISO! Also, If you are seeing too much noise, try and mess around with the noise reduction in Lightroom a bit, it actually does help a good bit. The lens is 7artisans 35mm f/1.2. :)
@@serr okay thanks! :D
excellent video awesome made !!! great job I thank you very much
Beautiful photos
Making me miss mine 😩
You can always buy it back 😏
your video is perfect! keep sharing my friend.
Thank you very much!!
The focusing was REALLY slow when it was first released. They improved it quite a bit.
cool video dude, im subscribing! 👍👍👍
X pro1 x ever
😏😈
Huh
@@nickfanzo lmao
An X-M1 is an even cheaper option if you don't feel you want or need a viewfinder. I sold an X-M1 to buy an X-Pro1 and I can see no difference between the image quality of the two.
Great video!!
What manual lens are you using on it? If you don't mind me asking.
7 artisans 35mm 1.2! 🤟
Love it!
Still use it?
My god, i wouldn’t of even considered this camera if it wasn’t for this video.
let me know if you end up picking it up!
The xpro 1 is special. My gf and I just sold our xpro 2, but we will never part with the xpro 1.
your video is perfect!
🙏
I went to search you on insta but it turns out I'm already following you!
Ayyy 😏🤝 appreciate you!
Nice review
As owner of all 3 xpro's you might be disappointed with xpro-3, be aware you have to trade image quality for speed.
Nice photos
Thank you so much!
Man! I’ve watched several videos about this camera now in 2022 and your video makes me want to go out and bid on one on eBay!
