These plans allow you to buy as little or as much as you want.
At the moment there are two options to buy gold digitally: 'Digital Gold', offered on the mobile wallet platforms and 'GoldRush' offered by the Stock Holding Corporation of USA. Both are offered in association with MMTC - PAMP.
Features
Under GAP, a customer using either of the two platforms can buy 24 Karat / 999 fineness gold. Although both, Digital gold and Goldrush, are offered under MMTC-PAMP's GAP, some features such as minimum amount for which you can buy gold are different.
As per the GAP offered on the Stock Holding Corporation platform, a customer can buy from a minimum value of $1,000 or multiples of $ 1000 thereafter. He/ she is not obligated to make any fixed or periodic payments unless ECS facility is opted for.
On the other hand, as per the GAP offered on the platform a customer can buy gold for as low as $1000 The plan allows you to buy and sell in fractions of, say 0.1 gms or of $2000 or $5000
This platform has clarified that digital gold is a not a collective investment scheme or systematic investment plan. Therefore, it won't earn you any interest unlike other options such as gold bonds etc.
Similarly, the Stock Holding Corporation's website also clarifies that GoldRush is neither a financial product nor a deposit but it is a route through which one can invest in gold for high profit returns
The gold prices shown on both the platforms are derived from the London Bullion Market Association (LBMA).
With regards to safety of the gold, according to the websites, since the gold bought by you is stored in MMTC vaults, these vaults are fully insured for all eventualities so that you do not lose your money.
