The Scarlet Pimpernal was set in the days of the French Revolution and he often rescued French aristocrats from the guillotine. Just found your channel. Am enjoying it. Thank you.
I only have George Orwell's 1984 and Animal farm but I plan to get a lot more of the collection! I love how uniform in size they are along with the spines! 👌 Must get The Scarlet Pimpernel myself!
I loved Silas Marner and am currently reading Middlemarch. Did you ever get to it? What did you think of George Eliot? I am a fan but I must take my time and go slowly because her writing is so rich and lovely.
You've got a good collection there. I read Far from the madding crowd and Howards end. Loved them. I have some of these editions too and I agree they are very comfortable to read
I just wanted to say: I just bought my first Penguin English Library Book =D I always wanted one, but could not decide which one. I did not want such a huge classic. As my colleague gave me Lost Boy by Christina Henry, which is a Peter Pan retelling, I decided I want to read Peter Pan first ánd ordered this edition =) Have a nice weekend!
Ohh I am so happy for you! I hope you enjoy the book and the way the edition looks on your shelf because these books really do make your bookshelf look soooo good! Enjoy your new book and have a great weekend too! ;)
I am yet to finish a book by Virginia Woolf. I really tried with "Mrs. Dalloway" and I couldn't finish it. I feel as though I am losing my marbles when I am reading a book by her. I can't catch where her thought begins and where it ends. I will try another one of her short stories. I just don't get her I guess. :( Btw, I really enjoy your videos and love your enthusiasm and love for literature.
I know :) it's okay :). These editions really are very beautiful. I envied other people who showed their collections too :D still do, because some people have the whole set :)
