Thank you so much for this morning message Robina. It brings to mind the Buddhist idea of the middle way. Don’t get too mad or sad. Don’t get too happy or glad either. Take the middle path and you’ll have a sense of balance about yourself. Thank you again. Great morning to fellow viewers as well.

Thank you, Venerable Robina, reminds of the Tibetan metaphor (which I am paraphrasing, the turtle is slow but gets to its destination while the flea is fast but jumps in random directions.) Like theme of my week was to be concentrated on what is on my plate now as opposed to (my friend J's wise metaphor) being the washed out 35-year-old high school past football player bringing up traumas greatest hits, like they bring up their games which just incapacitates us). Like anxiety and crying over spilled milk (and unhealthy focus on nostalgia) can be too sides of the same coin. To bring it the point of this video, multiple things go wrong on a almost hourly basis every day at work or after work time, and bringing up trauma memories when they been worked through ad nauseum has diminishing returns to the point that I regress into angry and out of control state of minds rather than using Buddhist or other techniques to not cry over split milk and deal bravely with suffering now as opposed to freezing yourself with the suffering that is no longer relevant.
So much easier said than done but your advice though you may not remember me Robina on zoom at the Kurukulla to simply practice is helping me be like do this every day like I do piano everyday so that as in Santideva
s chapter on Diligence or Perserverance, your not overcome with the laziness and defeatism caused by unskillfully getting angry over the past, waxed nostalgia or having a victim complex. That the more I concentrate on what's in front of me, the more choice I have to discern wisely. i thank you for your frank advice to practice more because intellectualizing is just like the flea who will jump from irrelevancy to irrelevancy instead of dealing what what is right here and its been helping me though like Milarepa, if I am sincere to the path, I'll my own trial of towers to build
