Concerning the oil spill - we've all been there at one time or another. Props for not just admitting it but actually documenting it! I slightly overfilled my vehicle with oil once. No problem, i'll just loosen up the drain plug and let a little out. Unfortunately, it was one of those plugs with a super strong magnet and it stuck to the side of the pan when i was trying to thread it back in. On top of that i had not waited long enough for the oil to cool down adequately and toasted my fingers as well.

I triple check now, haha. I actually switched my plug since I took the car on the track. Thankfully that spill wasn't in my own garage though and it was easy cleanup.
Dang, some of those magnets are pretty strong. Ha.

i think you can just use a 1/2 ratchet for the back diff for future reference

You can use that in a pinch. The square is 13mm. 1/2 to 12.7...so it's slightly smaller. On cars where maybe it's not torqued over the moon or rusted out...it will probably work. If I kept with the 1/2 it probably would rounded out the square.

absolutely loving the series, giving us all hope that used wrxs can in fact still be driven and not blow up 😂

Nice video. I have a shop tour of Hoist House premiering on my TH-cam channel this week before their open house this weekend.
