I've listened to a few race callers in the US and in Europe and they😊 could get a few tips listening to this guy haha. But what a horse, to be able to get a bad check like that in the straight and still come back and win.
indeed, Aussie race callers are in a league of their own - a group of us had the good fortune of sharing a table with some Australian punters who made the journey to see Zenyatta run in the 2010 Classic at Churchill - an amazing run to even finish in the money let alone beaten a head by Blame - the Aussies were impressed and i remarked 'but for a little racing luck and some stretch trouble...' and Kerry says ' ya no mate, pulls his computer around and says this is what passes for not even a Buckley's chance in hell' and plays the video - i've shown it dozens and dozens of times and the reaction is almost always the same 'how the hell...'
That was his best win. He was a great horse but not the complete Champion he had 2 shots at a Cox Plate the first one he was never going to beat Northerly or Sunline but should have won the 2nd so to be a Champion 1600-2000m horse you need a Doncaster which he failed in and a Cox Plate, but as a atallion he has produced some very handy horses for Godolphin.
She looked really sweaty before going into the gate, didn't look a winner on the day and sometimes they just aren't at their best and she wasn't on the day. Lonhro was a superstar to win this.

@@BluebirdGame Diva never won a G1 WFA until the great horses of that era in Lonhro, Sunline and Northerly retired.
