@@andrejatob8540 I don't think its for sale as a kit , I used a wheel chair motor and wired in a DC speed controller

Jerry, all Wood-Mizer mills like mine have the drive chain right next to the dust chute. I've never heard of any issues with sawdust clogging the chain. Just run a little ATF down the chain from time to time to keep it limber and rust free.

Might look at wireless remotes for wenches. Added one to my jeep in the past, should work with your setup. Very cool mod

Hello great videos im currently putting together the same setup on a lx 55 mill just curious how you have the limit switches wired? Are they going to the switch that reverses dorection on the controller? Wasnt sure how to wire 2 of them in great build and thanks again for the videos!
Yes they are in series with the switch on the controller. The controller has 3 wires. I wired in series one switch to one side and the other to the other side. The switches can be normally closed out normally open. Attach to the normally closed so when it trips it opens the circuit and stops the motor. Thanks for watching. I hope that helps

I wish and would be very interested in buying a complete power feed kit with all its spare parts to fix such a device on my OS27 sawmill, except the battery but including the DEWALT system box. Does your company have a complete kit available to sell and to export it by air post (DHLorUPS) to France? If so, what is the price? thank you for your attention.

Great work Jerry! Can you make some comments on what would you do differently down the road like I was thinking could a person use bicycle chain to reduce the cost and other improvements! I have built a mill. Presently working on my own design of mill which I want to build and start selling but would like to incorporate a feed system for just myself. The other mills to sell would just be manual. I own a Lumber mate 2000 that I am particular not fond of absolutely dissatisfied with the company Norwood! A Company that is profit motivated. In my opinion one of the worst customer services, I bought the mill as a investment but am using it presently to mill my own lumber. I may cut it up and refine it to make it better. I am a welder 30 plus years now.
If I was building from scratch there are a few things I would do.
1. I would keep to a bigger size chain. Maybe not a 420 but a 40 or so. The chains were about 22 bucks for 10 foot. I have less than 30 into both sprockets.
2 I'd would consider a way to power down the throttle (on its own) at the finishing end so the engine wouldn't be running full speed after the carriage stops.
3. I'd like to have a way to slow the carriage automatically at the ends so with in 6 inches of the limit switches it would start to decelerate.
4. right now I'm at 13 second return. I have a 19t drive sprocket. I'd probably look for a 21T sprocket. That works get me closer to 10 seconds.
5. I would like to find a way for remote operations.

@@BigelowWoodcraft 2. you may have already fixed this by now but your stop switch has the 2nd set of connections which would connect 2 terminals when it hits the end of the rail. Without adding and additional hardware, it would allow you to power down the actuator. Any suggestions on the actuator to purchase for throttle control?
Nick, thanks for the throttle suggestion. I purchased it off of Amazon. In one of the videos I made showing the build I have the link and a screen shot of the linear actuator I used. It's only a 3 inch actuator. I mounted on the side of the engine.
I also thought of a door lock actuator.
I've watched 1 and 2 all the way through and did not see a link to the actuator. How strong is the thrust on the one you purchased? @@BigelowWoodcraft

Instead of a inverter, if the saw engine is electric start, why not connect battery to engine to charge the battery?
My saw doesn't have electric start. Most definitely would have gone that route. Thank you for watching.
To have it charge the battery, it would require an entire new flywheel assembly, and the pickup for it. You are doing great work!
