They are avid readers, love anime, K-pop, They love Muse and Chemical Romance, Lzzy Hale is one of Dany's heroes, their taste in music is very eclectic and they draw it all in to create The Warning. Note that in this video Ale (Bass) was just 13 and had been name a Spector Artist that same year one of the youngest ever!
In Ugh the obsession is clearly growing and is consuming the Queen. She is afraid of what she is becoming. She doesn’t want it to be that way, she wants it to be simple (“I don’t want to understand, I just want to hold your hand”). She asks to be saved and feels that she is sinking down into a trap. She doesn't know it at this point, and doesn't intend it, but there will soon be blood on her hands.
Funny thing about the title. The song was kinda difficult for them to write--so much so they would leave it to work on other songs but then inevitably they would say time to go back and work on this one and their collective responses was always "ugh!". And that became its working title which they eventually just decided to keep.
You nailed it Susie Q, these ladies are bringing back the passion I had for the music of my youth that I thought was gone forever! Never in a million years would I have thought it would be delivered by three young sisters from Mexico writing and singing in their second language.
FYI, This was the last song they composed for the album. They said it caused them the most problems in creating it so that is where the name comes from.
I'm in my 50s and every song sounds familiar yet fresh! They mix decades and genres in almost every song. When Real Rock makes a comeback, these sisters will be steering the ship! And Yes, Ale is my favorite bass player too. As you get deeper in, you will appreciate just how amazing each of them are. I'm really glad you are going in album order! Thanks, Wil!

They talked about why they named it Ugh. It was what they felt like after writing it. They wrote it and rewrote it a bunch of times and changed the chorus a few times.
They wanted to drop it from album but there dad said no way that it was too good , they were asked to lengthen the song but said it was perfect at that length .

Definitely do Dull Knives from The Warning Cave De(Tour). Great sound and most recent performance. Also, do some songs from the Foro Didi concert (song links at the top of the comments). Great bass sound on that if you like that kind of thing. And I know you do.

that same concert they do a cover of Foo fighters Everlong which PUA just kills it! that song is a really challenging drum line. You also see their mom behind peu filming her and then their dad at 3:38 loving how well Pau does on the song.
Love the Warning have both of their albums and EP. I came across a family band called Liliac 2 sisters and 3 brothers check out their original song called Mars the live version the lead singer voice is amazing.
Pau is interesting. She does not "technically" have a very "good" voice. Dani's is good, but not an all time great like Lzzy Hale, etc. But watching Pau, her technique (mouth shape, jaw clench, breathing) is damn near perfect, really elevating her above her raw vocal talent. (plus the breath control and mental capabilityto do all that while drumming? Excelsior!)
And running the electronics's for the whole show! But, don't forget that music is painting a story with sound. It's all the conveying of emotion and intent. All three do that in spades! Being a musician myself, I learned that just playing the notes, playing them well, makes you a Great Musician, but to get the emotion across in a manner that the audience can FEEL, that's an Artist!!!!!
You mentioned that Pau takes over for vocals on this song if Dany doesn't want to do it. That is not correct, Pau does do some songs but has never done this particular song in concert or on film at least. It doesn't mean she cant do it but she has never done this one in concert, just for your info.

Dyslexic Lives Mattress it was my initial favourite and actually the title fits perfectly with where the character is at that point in the story.
