Hmmmm.... Not sure.... Just make sure to pry a little bit at a time to keep it even, that is, don't pry one side up too much without prying up the other side. Maybe one of the bearings is stuck and being pulled off or something like that. Maybe you can jerry-rig a couple pullers with small nuts and bolts or something between to cover and base. Good luck!!!!
Great work, I have one. I’m changing out the entire motor/gearbox. $297 at acme tools. How do you get the pin out to separate the gearbox from the mixing tub?

You make that look so easy! I’m trying to remove the cover to change the oil but it won’t separate more than 1/2 inch, any suggestions?

I did not have to remove any pin. The tub is held to the spindle with a big T-bolt/washer from the tub side.
Show the diagram wiring from the motor to the switch you are going to fast😢
