Oh roll on!! Just this very day I was wishing I could go back to the 70s!! How serendipitous to then see this! So looking forward to this one! Amalia. 🙏💙
Ahhhhh 1976 my 17th birthday year. Such adventures and the music!!!!! I loved my clothes and shoes! My hair was long and strait! Dark tan! Such good memories. Thankyou.
I love that you made it a Maine coon cat. Nikita was one of the great loves of my life. I would like to believe 100% that I will get to see my animals again after this life and that I will get to see them in their bodies. I can support some of that with science and the rest just with fervent desire🙏🏽💚🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾🐾💚
Aww, I love that-- my parents adopted a Maine Coon cat just at the tail end of the 70s so I thought about her. Such a sweet, fluffy breed. And you will, I firmly believe they may be the first ones waiting to greet us.
Hi Michelle, I’m cheating listening a little early in the evening, but I’ll listen at bedtime too. I was in my first year of college in 1976. I often long for that time again minus internet, cell phones, and of course great music. Thank you for this breath of fresh air and nostalgia. ❤😊
You have no idea how happy this makes me. My outgoing voicemail has said “happy 1976!” for many years since deciding I wanted to live the energy of that era rather than this century. Sweet dreams! 💜
Thanks for the do over. I couldn’t have created that dreamscape of 76 by myself. It was a horrid time for that version of me. Thanks for converting my firebird into a manual shift convertible. I preferred “ little queen” by heart but that came out a year later. I heard it anyway. It was a culturally rich time. You captured little slices of it and reliving it through your eyes was sweet. Second city tv show was after snl. It was equally as good.
What a great time-- since it was June I'm sure we were out of the live season but I wanted to add that bit. While not alive, so much of that time's influence spilled over in how I was raised and my parents' proclivities. Glad you could relive in a different way. I imagine if I tackle the early 90s in a story it will be a time for me to reimagine those years for myself.
@@MichellesSanctuary It’s a matter of your point of reference. We get caught up in different things at points in our lives. With this I was allowed to peak at it and see that there was more then trauma there was some joy too.
@@larrymarcus3176 I figure that it's a safe place for all of us to skate. I certainly get scared enough when I skate around my apartment-- those four wheels can get a mind of their own on a sharp turn. It's funny you mention the knobs in the Firebird because as a child being in one there were SO many knobs. Everything was tactile to me-- since cars now have buttons instead. Not the levers that click for the heat or radio tuning, or even the old lighters that were in cars. They were pure terrifying magic to a 3-year-old. I think this sleep story is great for those who still remember that period of time but it means much less to those of us who weren’t even born, or who were only very young, back then. Personally I found the music references meant little to me and that the whole roller skating scene - what with its crowds, loud music, garish clothes, glitter balls and strobe lighting - was just the opposite of relaxing and far too busy and loud to promote a peaceful night’s sleep. Of course you can never please everyone, but I was a little taken aback. Because I can honestly say this is the first sleep story of yours that I haven’t found relaxing, and I’ve been listening every night for years!
I appreciate the feedback. As someone who also wasn’t born in this time or any of the historical eras I’ve covered. I also always tend to have a pretty full description so if there are things that don’t seem soothing to you, definitely feel free to skip it. I get such an overwhelming amount of feedback and requests it’s really hard for me to hit them all every time. I like to this of this as a library where you all get to come and self-select the stories that you feel will resonate with you and skip the ones that don’t.
Some of us who listen to you still can’t sleep but you entertain comfort and relaxers while we’re laying there and then I wake up many times in the night and if I have one of your playlists going you’re always there because when I wake up often my blood has a lot of cortisol and adrenaline and it’s not so much in the middle of the night more so in the morning. I’m really hoping that you’re giving serious consideration to making some recordings for those of us who have a hardest time in the morning some of us have to stay In bed and others of us want to. Some of us don’t like the sun we prefer the rain and the moon. I bet you could soothe and comfort a lot of us into our day whether we were going to get up or stay in bed. I, for one, would really appreciate it more than I can adequately articulate.

I can not wait for this. I graduated from High School in 1976. Everything was red, white & blue for the bicentennial. Including our tassels. ♥️🤍💙
I sometimes feel as-one with Michelle. 💕
1946 is the year my dad was born I would like to sleep in that Year and 1970 would be great to
😊
What made you choose the year I was in the womb? And the boardwalk? My dad passed away and I'll be up there for the memorial next week. I'm. Not. Ready.
I love these videos! they really do help. Would you ever consider doing a time travel one to the medieval times? like king arthur times
Ohh let me know what else you’d like to experience!
Thanks
Thank you so much for you kind gift-- I hope this brought you the best dreams of '76!
Btw ur voice n beauty is awsome lol❤❤❤
Thank you!
Would this work for someone like myself who wasn’t born yet in 1976, but wishes to be living in that era (I love 70s music and memorabilia)
I wasn't alive in the 70s, but I am going to be adding many more stories in this style where you can experience another era in time. If you love an era, I'm pretty sure you'll enjoy a sleep story about it!
I love your stories! Any chance your sponsored ads could be told in a softer tone like your videos? I just don’t want to wake up if I put them in a playlist.
I can maybe work on the volume-- also, I release all of my tracks as albums on TH-cam as well. So this will be released eventually with all my other videos here: th-cam.com/channels/d_M5zO2XN-isQjCT50kvzA.html.
thank you beautiful friend😍😍😍😍
My pleasure! Sweet dreams!
Since the movie “Dazed and Confused,” there hasn’t been a better rock music soundtrack.
It's a good one. Hope you enjoy this hop back in time!
Thank you ❤️
Sweet 70s dreams!
I graduated from high school in 76
Hope this brings back the best memories!
That's the way a ha a ah!
You trying to get me to dance or rollerskate? 😂
I remember doin’ The Bump dance to KC & Sunshine Band tunes, and Brick House (Commodores), and to all dem fantastic infectious 70s funk tunes. E’body watched Soul Train (right after Dick Clark’s American Bandstand) Saturdays, WPVI channel 6, ABC affiliate, early afternoon TV here in the Philly market.
I was 14 school, chores, and work, so I guess I didn't sleep much 😅
Me too, but I just played guitar, basketball, and skateboarded most of my time out of school. I slept very well then.
Time to make up for it now! 😂 I was so busy in my teens I look back and wonder how I did it.
Hiiiiiii!!!! OMG I've got such a big smile on my face! I didn't expect to see your pretty face tonight!
🌷 thank you! That’s so kind. I hope you enjoy this hop through time! 💜
This should be interesting. I was born in 1976. 🙂
Jill, you were conceived-carried-raised absorbing musical energy with emotional vibes incomparable to our present 21st century.
Music was generally just plain inspirational (socially redeeming and beneficial) between Beethoven and Motown;
the Romantic Period to Post-WWII / Human Rights eras. We’re in a humanities valley at present.
Well, then, happy 1976 to you! Hope you enjoyed this journey back!
@@MichellesSanctuary . . . you’re always gentle on my mind. 💕
Had first child, married 1 yr. Now 42 yrs.
Wow, how lovely!
I don’t like the upbeat talk at the beginnings lately… I always have to skip through to the quiet, calm Michelle voice 😮
I'll keep that in mind as I record.
Nxt the 80s or 50s lol
Absolutely going to do both!
Hoom Band does not seem to have an option to ship to ireland 😔
Sorry to hear this!
