  • Hello all!
This was my first dive into anything 12v. While looking around for helping DIYing a system like this I found zero videos on the GX specifically, so I wanted to make this for all the people out there like me who just needed a bit more help out there!
As stated in the video I had little to no clue what I was doing but it works, if you see any errors in how I did it let me know below! I want to be a resource for the people like me who were lost getting into it!
Here is my price list with direct links to everything used!

Here is my little diagram I made helping with the wiring under the hood!

Good man for going out and making a video when there isn't one.

Great video. I'm the owner of an 04 GX and it's amazing to see all of the different parts and components people outfit their cars with, but I feel like most of the time its just a "hey, look what I did" with no actual documentation, write-ups, or videos on how something was actually done. Adding a second battery is something that I would like to do, but there are other parts that I feel I need to do sooner (skid plates, sliders)
Keep up the good work and I'll definitely be following your build on here!

I agree man! I love the show and tell but I really would prefer some "how-to's". Expect more in the near future from me! I am making a point to show people how to do the things that I had no idea how to do! Thanks for stopping by!

YES! This is exactly what I wanted! I'm going car camping at a ski resort and wanted to have a tiny bit of heat from a heated blanket.

Hi, Jacob, How did you put your battery in that place?
I have a difficulty of putting my deep cycle battery (10L x 6.6W x 9H including the lead) in the same place that you installed.
My 2005 GX470 has very little height because the metal pipe is stick out from the bottom.
What is the dimension of your battery? How many amp hour, and Is the battery deep cycle?

according to redarc manual fuses must be 40A for recommended wires. So make sure 100A fuses are ok to your wires

Why did you go with 100 amp fuses? How much draw is your fuse box?

I hate to tell you this but this is your second video I watched. You made a video on the Midland radio and never said what type it was, now you make this on a duel battery and mostly likely you hit your mike or didn’t have it close to you and you sounded like you had a mouth full of food. first you should edit your videos if you are going to put instruction out. A 100 Amp fuse when it should be a fourth Amp followers will end up burning down there vehicles.
