    When he spoke of his height and the challenge they have reaching up to pack up the tent - I wanted to post that I saw on a Sylvansport video that you can crank the top down to a more convenient height while packing the tent into the roof.

      Great video! I would have loved seeing the take down from the beginning to get a better feel how the puzzle pieces fit together. I think I've found what I've been looking for for my adventures! Happy trails! ♡

    • @OutOfOfficeCamping
      @OutOfOfficeCamping  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @MissFancyClancy Me too. We walked away to film another rig and when we got back they had most of it down.
      We have a Coleman Popup camper so I'm sure it's about the same amount of time.
      Definitely a great trailer if you can find one for the right price. I've seen a lot lately on the East Coast selling for less then $10,000. All the folks who bought them during Covid are now back to work. Or just released it was more work then a full size.
      All and all I think Its a win win package for most applications.
      Happy Camping! ‐Mark (& Teresa)

    We have a Sylvansport Go also. We bought it used (‘21) back in April. We took it out 4 times over last summer. I like that it’s big and roomie inside and yet packs down small enough to fit in our little garage. ( saving us money on storage fees). I did my research on used prices so I was able to purchase ours for $10K.
    ( the RV dealership was asking $17).
    I enjoyed hearing about your experience with your “GO”. Happy trails to you.

    • @OutOfOfficeCamping
      @OutOfOfficeCamping  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      Hello Ann, Congratulations what a great score. I know when I first saw the GO I thought it was such a wonderful product and still is today! Your right you can't find anything like it. A cargo, camper, light weight all in one trailer. I remember checking them out used back 2009 give or take a few years. You could pick up a used one for around $4000-6000. Ofcourse if I remember correctly I want to say they sold new for about $8999.00
      I expect a lot campers will be popping up on the market in the next few years. Since the RV market is on a downward spiral with the current financial market.
      Thank you for watching and commenting enjoy your time with your camper!

      What would you figure these might go for second hand on the market in 2023? 6-7k?

    • @OutOfOfficeCamping
      @OutOfOfficeCamping  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      @@joeluevano9366 I believe you will see them around the 10-12k for more current 2019-22. Models that are older then 5 years maybe 7-9k. Biggest strength of the GO Camper is the weight and versatile of a utility trailer. This I believe along helps keep the resale so strong. Only time will tell with the current financial market. I do think you will see a lot of campers popping up this year and the next two to come for amazing bargains!

    • @annwhale4418
      @annwhale4418 ปีที่แล้ว

      @@joeluevano9366 it depends on what state it’s being sold in.
      I saw one for sale in Ohio for around $6K but here in Washington state the price for used was the same as new.
      The goof thing about the company is you can buy replacement parts for everything… including the tent itself.

    • @OutOfOfficeCamping
      @OutOfOfficeCamping  ปีที่แล้ว

      @Derek xPaPaDx Frampton You can definitely find a lot of nice hard wall campers in that price range. Ofcourse they won't come close in weight.

  • @jeffreyallen1290
    @jeffreyallen1290 ปีที่แล้ว +5

    Very nice tent trailer, exactly what I would like to get. But then I went to the website and noticed the starting price. Wow, 15k for a nylon tent on a small trailer. If it was around 7k I'd seriously consider one but not at the MSRP of 15k.

    • @OutOfOfficeCamping
      @OutOfOfficeCamping  ปีที่แล้ว +2

      I know I said the same thing in the comments. But you can pick them up used for under $10k. Sadly, there's not much you can buy for less than 10K. Best in its class would be an Aliner or a pop-up camper. Both typically could be under 2000 lbs. Really nothing on the market as light as the GO.

    • @HaddaClu
      @HaddaClu 7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@OutOfOfficeCampingthat's a bold face lie. There are multiple motorcycle/ small car grade tent camper trailers available between 2-8k new with the same amount of space. Lee-sure Lite is one, Vida, and Kompact Kamp are some others.

    • @OutOfOfficeCamping
      @OutOfOfficeCamping  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @HaddaClu I don't think I would go that far to say it's a bold face lie! Actually, Lee-Sure is Canadian based, not the USA. A similar style trailer was 10k. The Vida camper is $11,300 US dollars and also a Canadian company. The Kompact Kamper is US based in PA and is a motorcycle trailer selling for $4k new. None of them, ofter as many features as the Sylvansport as a car trailer camper. Not a motorcycle camper. Not to mention, none of the campers you listed can do as much as the Sylvansport can. So once again, to say Bold Face Lie is a bit rude. I personally would have used other words. You may want to take a moment to read some other replays.
      I agree that the new pricing is a bit crazy. To each his own. Some folks like to drive luxury cars some drive imports it's up to the individuals as to what fits there needs.
      One camper I've learned about recently is the Let's Go Aero, LittleGiant. Which comes in at 7k, still not as much room or layout.
      Now at the opposite end is the Patriot Campers starting at $52K
      What kind of camper to you own?
      Thank you for sharing all those other camper models for our viewers to make their own choice.

    • @HaddaClu
      @HaddaClu 7 หลายเดือนก่อน +1

      @@OutOfOfficeCamping Apologies for the prior rudeness. Most used GO's I've found are north of 10k, and those that are below that are well outside of a reasonable drive to go pick it up. I suggested the motorcycle grade trailers due to the fact of their prices, and weights which allow for anything to tow them. My parents sold the family's old 98 Coleman Mesa for a Lee-Sure Lite a few years back and they tow it with an Outback. I personally own and tow a RoadToad Tote model from Camp Inn. Yes its a teardrop; but I can also use it as an utility trailer, and at the time it was only 6k - though I believe its now around 8k. In the end a basic camper with a place to shelter from the rain, and to sleep during the night is all most people out need or want.

    • @OutOfOfficeCamping
      @OutOfOfficeCamping  7 หลายเดือนก่อน

      @@HaddaCluThank you. That's so cool to hear more about what you use. I beleive just like you pointed out there are some really good options. More importantly as you pointed out just because they call it a Motorcycle trailer really they should call it small camper. Because they do offer some nice small package with good usable space! Thank you.
      We too own a Coleman Utah but we've actually switched to vehicle camping. So my set up was only $6 used and sits on the back of my pick up. My wife bought a Nissan Xterra for less than $7K. So she has everything in her rig for vehicle camping off grid. We also really enjoy using a Clam Quick Set to help expand our outdoor space. Plus avoiding bad weather and bugs. 😂
      Like you said lots of other options for folks if they'd like to simply get off the ground.
      I checked out each of the campers you listed. I liked the Kompact Kamper was right up the road from us in PA. That was cool to see.
      Thank you again for taking the time to watch and share your knowledge and personal experiences!

    Was cool. New price is outrageous

    • @OutOfOfficeCamping
      @OutOfOfficeCamping  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      Your right that's a huge jump 17%-21% is pretty major! At that price you could buy a nice New Bushwacker camper and still have money in the bank. Plus A/C and Heat. Or you could easily build a very nice 5x8 small trailer and install a rack plus a Roof Top Tent. Which could run give or take $4000‐$6000. At that point you'd have all the same set up with a usable lower section to haul gear or toys. Not sure what some of these companies are thinking. Now after covid the used RV/camper are being dumped for crazy prices. I expect in 2-3 years there will be a huge flood of used units. It's happening now.
      We picked up a truck wedge camper with a -36% in lose. Not even 1 year old. That person then when and purchased a 2 year old camper which had a -50% in lose.
      Great time to buy used!

  • @guillermoortiz1492
    @guillermoortiz1492 ปีที่แล้ว +3

    How has the reliability been? This is amazing, we love ground tent camping but this looks a great upgrade without the price of a camper!! .. so can you haul bikes while the top is halfway during highway usage?.
    How has the quality of the tent been with rain nights? And leaks?

    • @OutOfOfficeCamping
      @OutOfOfficeCamping  ปีที่แล้ว

      That's a great question! While we don't own this camper I know I've always followed the product. I believe for the best answers you should drop in on the Sullivan GO forum. I'm sure folks will tell you how great the camper is.
      Also yes you can haul with bikes or cargo below. The tent sits in the upper section. Think of it like a big Thule Box the tent is in. So you can raise the height to pit any cargo ATV, bikes, scooter....Plus you can also haul cargo on the roof. Super light weight to town. Just keep in mind it is a tent on wheels. So you'll spend some time setting it up. Really a brilliant design.

    Never put a toilet and a kitchen or even a sink inside a small camper. It will contaminate a very small interior fast. You'll suddenly feel ill and sick. It's best to have an extended toilet/shower tent and a slide out kitchen sink. This way the interior is solely for relaxation and entertainment and dining.

    • @OutOfOfficeCamping
      @OutOfOfficeCamping  ปีที่แล้ว +1

      That's how the Sylvan Sport Go is set up. Everything outside. Really depends on how small of a trailer you have. Having a toilet, and kitchen inside can be wonderful when the weather is bad. Or the bugs are eating you alive. So I can't say I agree with you based on our application in our region. Plus we love to relax and dine outside to enjoy the company of others or just be with nature.
      When the weather and bugs aren't a issue we spend all our time outside. Everything but sleep outside. Truly the SylvanSport has you covered with all your needs.
      As for ill and sick I don't think so! If that was the case we'd have a lot of van life folks buying RV's or 5th wheels. Small campers have been around a long time. Heck I grew up camping in a 1954 Bubble Airstream. Smallest Airstream made. Never got sick or ill.
      Happy Camping!

We also own a Go Fast Camper GFC, which is just a wedge tent on top of a cap. Which sites on our Ford Ranger. Campers come in all makes. Whatever works for you, as long as you simply get out and camp. Tent, hammock, RTT, RV. We just love the great outdoors.

All based on the individual needs. Heck we have a wedge camper from GFC on the back of our Ford Ranger. New this unit sold for 10k. That's a lot for a tent on a cap. But then again.
