    I love that you are using a Bolt to tow. That is exactly what I was look to tow this trailer with.

    From the first time y saw the sylvan go pro I have wanted one. I am very close to seeing that dream. I look forward to following your adventures. Hopefully I will learn more about all your cool hooks. Especially your shower 👍

    We love our Go. We've taken it from Ohio to Yellowstone, and just recently to L.A. via the Grand Canyon. Subscribed so I can hopefully see more of your Go adventures!

    Funny, my first time ever using my Go, there was a very intense storm. Even with one of the stabilizers stuck closed, the Go held up fantastically!

    Pretty cool, I have the Go Sun Fusion like yours and the biolite. I bought the shower stand for the Go Sun but haven't used it yet. I have been using the Geyser System for sponge "showers" heated by either the Go Sun 244 12 volt battery or a jetboil for 2 to 1 cold /hot to have a hot shower (2 x Nalgeen cold, 1 x 32 oz Jetboil hot water). I've been super impressed with the Geyser System as it only needs 3.7 litres of water.

    Just found your channel, looking forward to more videos. I do hope that in future videos you decided to cut out the background music after the first minute or two. Having it play as long as it did here was pretty distracting. But this was very informative, thanks for posting!

    wow I have a Chevy volt and thinking of getting the trailer. What an inexpensive way to go on trips.

    Have you considered a recirculating shower setup? Fill the doggy bath with hot water, pump the water back out of the doggy bath to the shower head add a particulate filter + charcoal filter and you get nice long showers with minimum water use. 3 gal. each and you still get 10-15 min showers (as long as the water stays warm).

    I want a GO, but even the used ones on the market are out of my price range; being the same price if not more than new tent trailers from other manufacturers.

    Hello!! I'm considering the Sylvan Go. How do you like it now that you've had more time? How does it hold up through the rain? Does it leak if you touch the side while raining?

    • @snakesteve68
      @snakesteve68  3 ปีที่แล้ว +3

      We have camped in it about 6 times - we still love it! We have only camped in it twice in the rain and so far it is super solid and no leaks at all. GO for it!

    We have a Bolt and are considering a SylvanSport Go. We’ve never towed anything before. How difficult is it to tow, considering the Bolt isn’t rated for towing?

    • @snakesteve68
      @snakesteve68  3 ปีที่แล้ว

      When towing you can "feel" it back there but the car does not struggle at all - but since we live in the mountains we take a range hit going uphill but gain loads of regen on the downhill. Just be sure you keep the loads as light as possible (we have towed up to 1300 lbs including the Go) and use big fender washers under the nuts when mounting your receiver hitch to the car. We used an e-trailer 2" receiver hitch custom made for the Bolt EV.

    I'm thinking of picking up a used 2018 SylvanSport Go. I have a 2017 Bolt that I already use to tow a utility trailer for yard waste, etc. How do you find towing this with your Bolt?

    • @snakesteve68
      @snakesteve68  3 ปีที่แล้ว +1

      So far we love it! When towing you can "feel" it back there but the car does not struggle at all - but since we live in the mountains we take a range hit going uphill but gain loads of regen on the downhill. We also get lots of questions - it is so much fun! Just be sure you keep the loads as light as possible (we have towed up to 1300 lbs including the Go) and use big fender washers under the nuts when mounting your receiver hitch to the Bolt.

      I have a 2019 Bolt and also tow a Go, no problems whatsoever other than a small hit to range.

    Do you cart your gear on the Go or in the car?

    • @snakesteve68

      Mostly in the Go but we always have some of our gear in or on the car as well.
