- Hello friends! Welcome or welcome back to my channel. In this video I'm unboxing a little plant that I just couldn't live without. I'm a big fan of succulents and I came across this cutie that I couldn't resist. I'll show you the unboxing of this one plant and then I'll go through a few planters in my collection to pick just the right one to compliment this darling little plant.
One of my favorite things to do is match up a pot/planter with a plant. I have as much fun collecting planters as I do plants. I'm so happy with how this one turned out.
I hope you enjoy this video! Thanks for watching!
Plant name: Pachyveria "blue mist"
Plant shop: truesucculents.com
I am so like you. I think the diagnosis is Hoarding. Ha! We are plant hoarders and proud! 😊
Perhaps so 😂.
Gena, I really loved your new tiny but expensive succulent, also like the planter, thank you ; I really enjoyed the video🥰🪴🌵
Thanks so much! 😊
Beautiful new cutie succulent! So striking! Love your pottery too! I almost ordered plants today but I can’t! One day at a time! Hope you’re having a nice day! Hope those outdoor gardens are growing great too! We have had lots of rain! Everyday! See you soon and thanks butterfly! ❤tina
Hi Tina! Thanks!!!! Everything outside is growing so beautifully. Well some of my vegetables grown from seed look a little rough still but I’m hopeful they’ll look better soon! Have a great week 🥰.
You picked that most adorable looking planter for that adorable succulent! I wish they gave you one which has already rooted...but that pot is soooo cute! Love love it❤
@@nmchai9333 Thank you so much!!!! The nice thing is it rooted really fast! It already feels a bit secured in the pot. I can always tell by wiggling it back and forth ever so gently and I can already feel some resistance :).
Great video Gena!! Plant mail....Yippee. Enjoy your week
Thanks Duncan!!! You too!!! 💚💚💚
Love that cute little succulent 😍 I think you picked the perfect pot!
Thanks Aubrey!!!! I’m so glad I ended up picking that pot. I love the combo 💛.

That is a cuttie and perfect in the wee mushroom pot.
They are so cute together. Thanks Chris!
Hi Gena
The little planters are ✨and adorable succulent...❤️
Waiting for the results from the voting in the next one..💚🌿🌵🍀💚
Thank you Sylvia!!! I goofed...forgetting that my next video will be a shop update, but the one after that (on Sunday) will have the results :).
That's fine!!👍
And Everytime you show a new one, I think I have to get a new one😂😂❤ omg. It's Soooo Cute!!
hahaha...sorry. Thanks, Cherie :).
I added a peanut cactus to my collection and it has been flowering of and on for the past month. The blooms are a brilliant scarlet to orange and very large cone shaped for such a small plant. I paid $1.47 for the plant from Star Nursery where I always find fabulous plants for a kind price.
Hi, Paul! Just looked that up. LOVE the flower on it. What a show stopper. Excellent price too :).
I love that mushroom pot!! I actually did pick up one of those grafted "moon cactus" yesterday.
Thanks Jamie!!!! Oh cool….i had one a few years ago that did really well for a long time and then one day it started to rot at the base. I must’ve overwatered it. I enjoyed it while I had it 😊.
It is a very cute little plant no I don't own it I don't make videos so that doesn't make me want to buy the same genus but I watch your videos and of course that makes me interested in that kind of genus your last video you showed the Dorian Gray from Steve's leaves and I went out and had to buy one you do that to me all the time of course you can't just buy one I bought four thank you thank you I do love each one I did like your succulent video and yes I went out and bought one I got a rainbow Hedgehog one I had been looking at you do influence my plants😊😊😊
Hi Lynn!!! I’ll have to look up the rainbow hedgehog! Sounds interesting. I think I must influence myself lol. That’s the only explanation 😂. Oh awesome four new Begonias!!!! Hope you have a nice relaxing Sunday 💚💚💚.
I just looked it up….looks like my pink topped rainbow cactus! They are sooo pretty.
Ioe the mushroom pot. It picks up the yellow in the plant!
It really does! It's a great combo :).
Very cute combo I recently got a monkey tail cactus which has been growing my wishlist for ages x
Those are so cute! I got one a few months ago and absolutely love it :).
Hello Gena! Been there…done that. Lol! The succulent bug. A word of advice…always use planters with a drainage hole. Enjoy!!!
Been there, done that, and continuing to do it...every year LOL. I'm being pretty selective now though. Trying to curate an amazing little collection in my limited space :). Thank you :).
The succulent is a beauty…. For me they always die I just have a hard time either them but ur collection is a beauty ❤❤❤
Thank you so much! Sorry they don't work out for you. There are plants that don't work out for me either. It is what it is I guess :).
Subed cause I like mushroom stuff too 😊
Hahaha awesome! Thank you Kathleen :).
I haven’t done many cacti or succulents besides string of things and Hoya because I haven’t learned how to care for them as well.
I have found them to be very easy to care for. It did take some time though to learn exactly what their needs are. But, I am no expert by any means lol.
Love that planter combination 😍 it was my favourite, it brings out the colour of the variegation ❤️
Thanks! It really is a great combo. They do compliment each other nicely :).
Last week I got a var. Indian corncob, parodia werneri, and a chin cactus for a bonsai dish garden. The parodia has flowered. All 3 cacti cost less than $15.
Oh nice!!!! I bet that dish looks amazing :).
@@ThePinkTrellis I hope it’ll survive our summer. We’ve been over 110 each day this past week and it’ll only get hotter.
@@terrizimmerman5297 oh gosh!!! We’ve been warm too but not that warm.
It's so cute! I have a soft ban on succulent and cactus buying until I repot the ones I have, which I've been procrastinating on for a while lol. I do have a few hoya coming soon (Suzie Q, serpens, MPR IML 1866).
The mushroom pot is adorable!
Thanks!!!! Sweet Hoya haul!!!! Some of those I'll have to look up cuz I'm not familiar with what they look like. It's sooo amazing how many Hoya there are to collect!!!!
@@ThePinkTrellis It really is! My chicken farm has tried twice to bloom and blasted both times but I keep hoping.
Hi!!! I love Echeverias too. I'll get a longer vlog of succulents and cacti...a collection video up in the next month or two :). Thanks so much!!!! xxoo

Gena...I also got a unique new plant : pencil cactus (euphorbia tirucalli) 💚Do you have one?
Hey Rev! I don't have one. Funny thing..when we lived in Southern California they were everywhere in people's landscapes. I always loved the orange color of them. Now I only think of them as giant landscape plants so that's why I've never tried one indoors. They are so pretty though.
I'm sorry what a waste of shipping product. Wth Landfill is Crying...... I get the planty thing just not the wrapping
Trust me...I totally get that sentiment. I have struggled with the thought of it myself. The only way to prevent that would be to ship with entirely recyclable materials (and have possibly broken plants arrive at their destination), or hope that the material would be saved and reused in the future. Even if just one more use. The alternative is to get out of the business of selling plants online and stick with only in person sales, but I'm sure someone would figure out a way to say that is wasteful too.
