I’m a groomer and I started at petsmart. Those groomers broke SO MANY policies that could have prevented this all for what, 10 dollars? My heart goes out to this owner. I hope she sues petsmart for all its worth.
I’ve worked at private salons and big company’s they all broke policies and or use products that aren’t for dogs . And have good and bad groomers . These things will always be out there it’s best to really have a trust and loving relationship with yr groomer and stick to just one …. Suing them gonna be hard when the vet said they can’t say exactly what caused it .
@@InSebastianworld petsmart has policies to prevent things like this from happening. And also, the vet couldn’t have said what caused it if they had done an autopsy. This shouldn’t have happened. The groomers were 100% at fault

It's hard to lose your dog of old age, but losing a dog young and do to neglect by those you put your trust in only to find that they couldn't be trusted... it's so devastating as a dog mom/parent. I just want to give her a hug. I work at a Petsmart as a Groomer Apprentice and also at a private Dog Grooming Salon and my priority is the babies coming in. They need to be reassured that they are safe, loved, and comforted in my care. I actually talk to them during the whole process of their appointment (Yes I talk to them). I cannot imagine the feelings that this sweet baby had during this abuse! I hope this dog mom goes after those evil groomers and gets JUSTICE!

That's not how it's done. You never leave a dog tethered to a grooming table alone. Ever. There's kennels for a reason. So you're either lying, or this petsmart you went to is completely negligent and do not follow petsmart safety guidelines/protocols/procedures.
No they don't. The dog jumped off of a table, and landed on a chair, where it would have been fine, but no, it had to jump off of that chair as well. The mutt jumped off of two different things and hung itself. Nobody's fault but the mutt. Couldn't even sit still for a few minutes. Ridiculous. It's just a dog, not a human. They absolutely do not have the same value.

For those that don’t know the top tether is supposed to be two fingers worth of space between the neck no different then a leash the groomers helper in the front causes the dog no discomfort it’s just there so they can’t back up when your trying to preform the service when used correctly it’s not abuse it’s for the dogs safety so they don’t fall off the way the people used it at the other pet smart was awful and inhumane no dog should ever have to go through that but please don’t go hating on all pet smart groomers some genuinely care about animals and their Care
Based on their reactions i would say those groomers also genuinely care about animals, they just didn't know what they were doing. When it was obvious there was a problem they responded immediately.

I'm not sure it is. This was uploaded May 12, 2021, but the security camera in the Chewy video shows May 26, 2021. That Chewy video is a hard watch, but unless they fudged the date on the camera it was a different dog. That and there's another video that shows snippets of Coby in PetSmart and it's definitely a different place than the Chewy video.
Those tables that place the pets high up but tethered to a short leash are deadly and should be banned or at least longer leash so that the animals can at least breathe....this was so avoidable.
Was that the incident with video of a dog that slipped on the table? The one where the other dog of the same breed was chilling and scratching itself while the hangdog was thrashing about? I watched a video of a dog like this one and now I believe it's this dog fell off the grooming table and hung was strangled and no one came during that time or a minute after he was dead. I'm into serial killers and looking at Jeffrey Dahmer's victim photos didn't upset me even close to watching that poor dog and the other dogs watching in horror. But at the groomers, they really expect you to drop off your dog and just LEAVE which is insane in my opinion. Dog's can't talk to tell you what happened. Because you’ve been doing it regularly. The dog was old it was probably getting stressed since it might’ve been his first time got scared and passed away. Heart problems are very serious so that should always be notified. My dogs have been getting groomed since theyve been puppies. I take them to get regular check ups to make sure they’re healthy and they never seem to mind. They hold the dogs in that position to make sure they can’t turn around and bite. Still very sad to what happened to the dog.
