Likely no breakdowns with SOI moving towards death metal and away from Deathcore. Ben’s vocals always impress, but the new dummer is killing it too! Funny you mentioned Niklas, Lorna Shore, Shadow of Intent, and Orbit Culture are my top 3 bands to listen to daily. Lorna only because of the latest EP though.
There is another band up there with Lorna Shore and Shadow of Intent. (Even tho Shadow of Intent is more death than deathcore) Mental Cruelty!! 🤘 Their last album A Hill to Die Upon had alot of sympfonic and blackend deathcore and its fucking sick!! I recommend Ultima Hypocrita by Mental Cruelty!!! 🔥 Sick song, sick music video and an insane guest solo by Yo Onityan ( Ex- Rings of Saturn) You wount be disappointed!! 😍
Breathing Process's new album is awesome too. The first 2-3 songs are filled with deathcore elements, but in the other those elements went to more blackish, than deathcore(ish?). Personal favorite: I Sleep, I Wake.
I'm suprised yall haven't reacted to Vildjharta yet, they have an album coming out next week and there track toxin and penny royal poison are some top notch avant garde heavy stuff
It'll be very interesting to see what else they've got for us. They always save some of the craziest/best stuff for the album release. Love the singles though.
Dont know are they classified as a deathcore band anymore because i remeber they said that are moving away or are done with deathcore. Actually its quite good if so, they have huge potential not to let hold back with dc genre boundaries

The song is decent. But dear lord the production is God awful, the guitars are buried beneath the symphonics.
