The tank looks great - it's an amazing result seeing as you haven't been in it long. Overall you've done an amazing job at reefing - sometimes we need to enjoy our tanks ;)
Even if the torch doesn't survive, don't throw the skeleton out. Keep it in the frag rack. Believe it or not, I cracked a frogspawn by fragging it with a too small bone cutter and on the bone growth happened. Flesh started growing. Insane but this game will surprise the f*** out of you
That has given me some hope mate 🤞 Just need to keep an eye out for brown jelly. Hopefully corals are more resilient than people give them credit for. I can't afford to lose it 😂...missus will kill me! Thank you for watching and commenting mate 👍
When it comes to dr tims I would always do half the dose stated I use dr tims first defense when I use the recommended amount my skimmer goes nut for 2 to 3 days
Hope all is good Steve 😊. I learnt that with the ammonia to the detriment of the cycle as you know 😂. Are you sticking with the LR Nitrate tester, or have you gone for the new one? 😬 Thank you for watching and commenting mate.
@@jaysrealreefuk I did buy the high range just because how quick and easy it is
Haha....it does help with the speed, but I still like the accuracy of the LR checker. I wish my nitrates went above 5ppm, then it would force me to upgrade. 😂
I did exactly the same with a torch and it’s now growing an extra head from the crack! 😂 Hopefully you’ll have the same luck!
Wow! I hope I get that look mate 😂 winner that is. Thanks mate, it does give me some more hope. Thank you for watching and commenting. Hope all is well with your reef?
Bit of cyano at the moment as well but just hearing with it while I get my nutrients stable. Added 8 fish recently so it’s still figuring out where it wants to sit. Registering decent nitrates now though so that’s a win!
So many of us are battling cyano this month! Dose your head in - it looks horrendous. Wish I had a tank large enough for 8 fish 🤣. Have a lovely weekend mate. Great to catch up. Hope to see you on the live next week.
That looks like dinos bro
It seems to be clearing up and it doesn't have any bubbles in the algae? It's also not annoying the corals. Hopefully it's not. I will keep an eye on it. Thank you for watching and commenting mate. 👍
Sorry but that looks more like dinos to me.
I sincerely hope not 😬. I need better luck than that after my coral disaster. Thank you for watching and commenting. 👍
I agree, looks like dino's 😔
No bubbles though!?! 🤔
@@jaysrealreefuk A good way to test is to take a sample of water from your tank with the dino/cyano, and pour it through a filter sock into a clear container. Then shake up the water in the container and leave it stand for an hour or so. If you see algae forming in the sample then it probably is dinos.
And stop adding new coral until you've got your tank back on track 😂👍
