I want to say a thousand swear words followed by …….. great. They are the best band I've seen. I'm old enough to have seen Zeppelin and Cream, and Hendrix.
as much as I love Isaiah, and I truly do, Earthless would be nothing without Mario on drums he keeps it grooving and interesting. If he played straight rythm for an hour the solos would be boring. But attending Earthless live in concert was one of the best things I did. Izzy is an insane player
It's a fucking tragedy that today's society listens to and is force fed mediocre rap/pop/"rock" and brilliant bands like Earthless and others with actual musical talent and songwriting capabilities are not as popular.
+ratmcd33 I was there. Took my kids. Talked to those guys nice fellows. Were you there before doors opened. They jammed Foxy Lady on their sound check. They blew my mind and the Led Zeppelin stuff at end was great. Two full sets! They are a very great band!
I guess my ears aren't ringing that bad. After all, I do like to turn it up to 11... I think that's mostly due to the nature of the cymbals themselves, ant the extreme proximity of the cameraman. See, cymbals are usually "brilliant" or "natural". In 90% of cases, brilliant cymbals have that shine and ringy-ness that suits itself well to more amplified music and a concentrated mix. He could use darker, thinner cymbals and that would resolve the issue, however they tend to get lost in the mix.
Actually they're called cymbals. And yeah I get that he overdid the whole swelling thing, but I guess live the bass would've helped smooth that out a bit.
you mean cloud it? hahah, n make it seem as if your ears arent ringing as bad when they are really goin out. basically im mostly talkin about how many times he hits those "cymbals" in the first 4 min or so, they do not stop ringing even if you cant hear em over the players, he needs to some how control n stop em whilebeing able to not have to take time using his hand or hit subtley, more control that way instead of hitting hard cause its easy to go off on your instrument when you know you can.
I do not know any of the songs they played. First time I'd ever heard them. Actually, it's one long drawn out set that probably does include songs, I guess.
in the begining i thought the drummer was a bit too much... kinda clouding out a lot of their notes with crashing symbols all over the place, timed, but not much good control. thatll make your ears ring like a bitch after.
All bands want to be this. Only Earthless knows how.
Love those dudes!

Great! great great great!!
Thanks for posting!!
That Guitar player is amazing. If you don't agree, Try keeping a crowd happy for an hour with no vocals, only riffs, and see how far you get!
Frightening to think about. I'd run out of tricks in..well under 5 minutes definitely. Yikes.
Absolutely. Isaiah Mitchell pulls most of that out of pocket. Just incredible and face melting.

Oh it's an Edwards. Sweet! I have a '77 Aria Pro 2 Les Paul made in the Matsumoko factory and I love it!
It's such an important part of his sound which I really dig.

Holy shit first comment! This is badass man! I'm glad to see him playing the ibanez l.p.

You are allowed to dance and move to this music, as long as yuo're not too cooll.
Budgie Breadfan at the end awesome!!:D
I figured it was an echoplex thanks bro
which are the names of the songs?
I believe it's a Maestro Echoplex EP-3. Not cheap, unfortunately!
Drum set looks similar to J Mascis' purple sparkle kit.
Probably is. He played drums for Witch that same night. th-cam.com/video/Kf4uFP22d_k/w-d-xo.html
Will you be recording tonight?!? Back at DC9. This is great.

can someone please tell me what kind of effects box he's messing with in the beginning?
Hawkwind
what pedal is it that Isaiah uses in the beginning, the big white one, cant remember the name of it
Jonas Jørgensen it looks like something from 'the analogman'. Same guy who built the Hendrix board.
12:00 dazed and confused!! :D

Maestro Tape EchoPlex
What is the name of this song ? Need this.
Anyone know what kind of bass he is using?
I just found out about these guys and now I have a chubby.
Does anyone know what tape echo unit he is messing wit'?
echoplex

I think it's the second one.

Im sur you did panama red
Not sure..Rickenbacker customized?
any setlist?

The first song I do not recognize (maybe just a jam), but the second one is from the ages
I know the formula... Step 1- Buy an echoplex ! Step 2- Smoke a bunch of refer (optional) Step 3- Play the shit out of the minor pentatonic scale !!!
