Earlier this year I bought a used 2022 Ford Bronco Base 2 Door 2.3L, 7-speed manual with only 8400 miles. The previous owner put $10K in upgrades into it. Fuel wheels, 35" tires, lift and more. But my speedo was off so I got the Ford ProCal to mainly fix that. I also did the tune and started running premium fuel. Wow! My mpg went from 14mpg avg to 19mpg avg. The best I've got is 21mpg. It's not super quick but I do see a little difference in performance. I've also added an intake and Magnaflow Overland Cat-back exhaust in which I think the tune has enhanced.
Since they just made it 50 state legal (was 49), Ford agreed to remove MT rev matching & the ASS remember function to appease to Cal EPA requests. The strongest 2 reasons I was going to purchase it. Thanks Cali
Thanks! This a very helpful video, for months I’ve been researching about tire size and calibration for my sister’s Bronco 2.3 Big Bend exactly like yours. Today I found out you can mount Sasquatch wheels & tires stock, what’s most impressive really is this tool. I knew about but slipped my mind now I know what to do.
Its extra killer on this bronco since its the smaller and lighter 2 dr model. What a great mod for the 2.3 folks to get that 2.7 power and feel. Love it. You are kicking ass with the bronco world, love to see it.
Good Morning, I just watched your video and WOW ! I'm excited to get the Ford Performance Tune ! ( I have a 2022 4 door Big Bend ) Thanks for your dedication and videos for us out here in Bronco land. : )
Should do Motegi Trail light wheels, with a 265/65/17 tire, 30” tall tire will give you a little more speed. If you had the 4.27 gearing with locker it would really kick it in the pants. I also would do Injen cold air, single cat back exhaust, and polished charge tubes.
You need to read the fine print on the warranty. It only has a warranty if an authorized technician loads it, not if you do. There is even a tech note ford has about that
@ it wont remove your warranty in general but if there is an engine issue they can attribute to the tune and it was nit installed by a tech they will deny the warranty. There is a procedure in fords system to do this. So if a end user installed it you are out of luck
The 2.3 seems more impressive than the 2.7, but the Ranger Raptor and Bronco Raptor tune looks amazing. Now you will have a rough idea of what a 2 door 2.7 feels like.
If you want to spend less on gas you definitely don't want to do this. You will have to use 93 octane so even if you gain 1 mpg you still paid. .60+ more per gal
Name any other mod(s) that can get close to 1/2 seconds off your et for $700 or less. Impossible. Any drag racer will tell you 1/2 second is significant gains that you can feel.
afaik if ford or an ASE mechanic doesnt do this, there is no warranty. true?

I know, that does stink 💯
Soo the rev matching is gone for the tune ? I was just about to buy one for that reason I'm in ohio

Glad it helped!

Thank you so much! This one definitely packed the punch for the 2 door. WOW is it fun!

Wait until you get the supporting mods, then it's much better! (CAI, intercooler, exhaust)
Definitely put a smile on your face.
Yes!
You put this video out just as I was eyeballing them. Your Buckle Up AI is strong! lol
Hahah it’s bronco intuition
Where can I get those fender flare deletes? Those are sweet!

I think the tune benefits the 2.3 more than the 2.7 as far as percentage increase in power and torque. What do you think? Good info. Thanks.
I agree! Although it does add enough fun to my 2.7 though :)

The link to the tune is for a bronco raptor, do you have the link for the 2.3?

How do you like the new Stroppe edition?
Not bad!

That’s exactly what I said. I also have installed these on my Bronco and never had it mess with my warranty :)

I popped a wheelie today in my 4 door 🤣😂
@BuckleUpButtercupTV did you take the shocks out? How did you manage a wheelie... LOL.
Is this legal in California?
Yes it is 50 state carb legal
@ awesome! Thank you
Are your mpg's up?

I haven’t driven it enough to see, but I had big gains with my 2.7 4door
I mean, that’s cool and all. But a 1/2 second doesn’t really seem all that much…unless I’m missing something.
