Can you do a video where you revisit some popular rogues and trojans? NavaShield, fake flash player installers, MEMZ and a few old VBS viruses would be really cool to see. Kinda like danooct1 except you actually upload
Even back in the day, there was nothing stopping a rogue maker from just copying ClamWin and tacking on a rogue in the application I wouldn't be surprised if they did, because that would allow them to be technically a real AV, and maybe just have it automatically detect exclude spy sheriff and tack on or implant a bunch of fake malware.
Yeah I've been wondering as well! His channel says he's in the US, but sometimes in the videos it looks like he's in Canada. Idk what the accent could be though 🤔
Dude that's a name I haven't heard in a long time, takes me back to all the rogue videos he did, also wasn't he the one that made an edit of SpySheriff changing the UI shell and whatnot? Or was it another rogue AV, I forgot, it's been almost 10 years or something lol
Anyone remember RKill back in the day? Old school nuclear option to get rid of a lot of stuff. I wonder if MBAR would do any better than default malware bytes?
I have a few videos on my channel reverse engineering the serial routines of some of these old rogues if interested : ] Fun to see others still taking a look at old malware. Thanks for the video!
Are you going to address the claims in the comment section of your windows xp exposed to the internet video that infer you deliberately deactivate security features (you do this in your windows 2000 and windows 98 videos as well, possibly others too) and manually infect your system? At around 2:50 in the windows xp video you have a window visible on your taskbar that says windows xp sp3 worm... This also calls into question the legitimacy of several of your other videos which judging by the comments are also incredibly misleading. It truly is a shame that you are being so dishonest (whether intentional or otherwise) especially when covering topics that could put less technologically inclined users at risk.
Tbh, I don't buy those claims. Just because there's a search tab open doesn't mean he went out of his way to download worms. Might as well just be him looking up worms that CAN infect windows xp. Besides, it would be sneakier to just use a USB drive or a VM to get a worm onto the machine externally.
@@domena1007 One thing we know for certain is that he DID deactivate all default security measures that would realistically prevent any random infections from sniffers and he did NOT disclose this (as mentioned in my initial comment, he also did this in the windows 2000 and windows 98 videos, possibly others too) so I have my doubts regarding the legitimacy of the "infection" as do several other people. I highly doubt that it is just a coincidence that the window says what it says but there is most definitely some foul play going on behind the scenes, again this could be clarified if he responded to the comments instead of ignoring them, we all know he is seeing them. That video among the other aforementioned videos are clickbait garbage that should not have been promoted by someordinarygamers and this creator is actively providing harmful misinformation, the people deserve an explanation.
@@xpt i think it was pretty obvious that the security features were disabled and i also dont think less technologically inclined users would even use old software like this if im not wrong he did mention that they were disabled so that he would get infected on purpose bro
@@e-black2970 It was not obvious to the average viewer. Show me timestamps, I'm happy to be corrected however my points still stand, particularly about how misleading the content is.
@@xpt ohh ok, so he does tell a little story at the start of the xp video about how you wouldnt get a firewall from your isp unless you had one on the windows already and he does disable it a few minutes in and you can see that after that he says that he has no firewall and no antivirus so its pretty obvious that he does it deliberately to get infected
Spy-Sheriff's website is archived if anyone want's to see what it looked like. Also AVG does still have an updated Windows XP version if you want to try and quarantine and examine any files the rogue's are installing.
It wouldn't do anything. If the rogue somehow DID have antivirus capabilities, then the database would be from 15 years ago... when we all still used MSN, Yahoo and Skype.

Sounds to me like an international school accent.
probably moved to canada from uk and somewhat adopted a new accent
