I love that. There was a slim chance while filming this scene that the water in the bottle might splash out and actually land in Jerry's mouth. The fact that it happened, well, that's serendipitous. It's so funny how the water starts hanging and falling off his mouth in strands. I suspect that the director, cast and crew knew they had the perfect take when this happened, and printed that one ... a real "keeper".
So, yes, I agree: it's gold. Gold! :)
I remember being so miserably sick with bronchitis and watching hours of Seinfeld reruns back in the good old days.

The writing in this episode is genius! That whole sequence where the two of them are arguing about when a pizza becomes a pizza and how it parallels the discussion earlier about abortion. I love that, haha! Pure gold 👍

That was a different episode.
No other sitcom had ever and would never go there-- to show that someone, especially a chef, had skipped washing his hands after coming out of the bathroom stall. It was awesome. This show went places none other had the guts to. And to top it off, we get Jerry's hilariously glorious bewilderment at Poppy walking out without washing up; Jerry wants to say something so much but it just won't work.
The water flying into Jerry's mouth is perfect.

So the way I remember the ending. Poppie returns to Jerry's apartment after Jerry has yet another couch and suddenly something happens and Poppie has to sit down. Well Jerry and Kramer both go "Nooooo!" and the frame freezes with Poppie about to crouch on the couch. I just watched the episode again and this ending wasn't there. Only one of three things could explain this... 1. That ending is in another show, which if so please someone "relieve me" and tell me which one. 2. Someone decided that was too riskae and edited it out. 3. I'm crazy and imagined an ending that wasn't there. Someone, anyone?
UPDATE: So I could take this quote down, but it's neat to think about how much this show blended. That the whole 9 seasons is like one long episode where every little thing becomes relevant later. But... Poppie shows up again in Season 6 and does this in a hotel lobby. Dang, what a great series. No wonder Seinfeld's a billionaire!
