It is true the design can trace back 40 years to the T8 in Europe. But the build quality and interior fit-out is the envy of many. If it ain't broke...
@@TruckTube It was amazing, very quiet, and WAY bigger than I expected, there 2 floors even had tv's and everything which were cool for a 7 hour bus ride.
It’s more the amount of lanes of car traffic which isn’t given separation or reduced sizing of lanes. Prioritising pedestrians, cyclists, and public transit over cars can ironically make the car journeys quicker, without needing to take up more space or be any more harm to the existing surroundings with climate. And yes, these busses are AWESOME!!
That coach is a monster coach. I wonder what the weight is on that front axle? They should have a wider heavy duty truck tire on the front and or double front axles in case one front tire blows out.. Accidents will happen to tires even if you do you vehicle pre trip ..
super singles on the fronts, drives and tags are optional, was told from a friend of mine who's a mechanic for a local company that buys coaches from ABC Companies.
The coach is i think the same has the Oxford tube in the UK with no kitchen excellent to travel on the engine is very powerful and it does give it some pull I don't know if it's the same ???????
I wonder if its against the law to have just 1 stairwell that goes to the 2nd floor, and just use 1 door for entry. The regular coaches seats 57 and have only 1 door. Probably a fire safety issue for the double decker. You can get an extra 2 seats on each level if 1 stairwell is taken out, plus 2 more seats for taking out a entry door, so 6 more seats
It's an EU requirement for double deckers to have two sets of stairs. BTW, this is a European spec coach, and in Europe the single deckers also have two doors.

This bus is made for extremely small people. I can't even fit behind the wheel of this bus, as my head is bashing the vents above, even on the lowest seating setting. I can't move the seat far enough away from the wheel to sit comfortably. And also the seats behind the driver - as well next to the staircase - are extremely cramped. Beautiful bus, drives great (I drove it to try it out), but I don't fit in it as a driver being 6.5 ft 😞. I even hear complaints from those drivers with an average length. The VDL Futura don't seem to have this issue, although I have yet to try it.
Yes. Really too many seats. In Italy the Marino Company of the city of Altamura has 73 tx27 for long range. Well, all the coaches of Marino are equipped with 66 places. So confortable.
Typical VanHool instead of giving the driver his/her space they put put two seats right behind the driver. That chair got no recline space. The rest of the coach is beautiful.
Just as long as you got deep pockets, you can deeply customize any VanHool coach that's available in your market. Like Johnny said, they build it the way you want it,
@@TruckTube It’s manual, the ramp is folded in the cargo compartment hanging from the ceiling. You must remove it and then build it to attach to the rear door. Then fold it back down and attach it back to the ceiling in the cargo compartment. It’s really a lot of work depending on the procedures of what the bus company policy is on the ramp deployed and cargo door open left open or not. It makes no sence when Alexander Dennis makes double decker buses with an electric ramp system at the front door, soo it’s not like it’s not possible to make a folding ramp with a push of a button or switch on double decker buses.
@@deandrebuggs3494 ADL's Enviro400/500 series are marketed more towards the transit industry, not so much the Tour/Motorcoach sector. This is why the staircase for the Enviro400/500 are set in the center, unlike the TDX25/27 which is both at the front, adjacent to the drivers cab and mid section of the coach, therefore they (ADL) can install an electric folding ADA ramp at the front. Most if not all motorcoach mfrs that do build DD's normally use "manually installed" ADA ramps instead of electrically-operated ramps for their models for ease of maintenance and ramp replacement should it "somehow" get damaged.
The vanhool double decker is a pleasure to drive
I worked for a company who used to import these coaches and I have been in the factory near Antwerp. Best coaches I have ever worked on.
There are a beauty 🏆🏆🏆🏆🏆✌🏾
Thanks !
Mam swoje lata i potężne doświadczenie ale takim cudem jeszcze nie startowałem pozdrawiam.
Excellent machine. So sweet for passengers and so easy to drive. But the design comes directly from the 70's. It's absolutely time to modernize.

Nothing wrong with it
Nope...its timeless😎👍
The Rolce Royce of the busses.

The coach is beautiful. For once I actually enjoyed the music on uTube. More please!
Una maravilla de la tecnología y un acierto músical
Beautiful double decker bus
super cool coach ...very nice
Thank you very much!
Between MCI, Prevost, and Van Hools, Van Hools are great buses to drive. But, I have to say that this model reminds me of a Neoplane bus.
Think this is Van Hool's equivalent of a Neoplan Skyliner!
I took this bus on my school trip years ago!
How was it?

@Casas Inspiradoras That is really not very nice, now, is it?
The global TH-cam community does not tolerate discrimination of any kind. I’m appalled.
Wonder why you don't see these as RV's
Imagine a double decker RV, with the slide outs too.
That would be cool but it wouldn't fit everywhere like a Single Deck.
I always imagine that, why I see this couch
@@yoyo-vn3qd coach 🤣

Thanks for the visit
la needs more double decker buses because from what i’ve heard they’re traffic is crazy because of the amount of slow buses they have

Yes, the Oxford Tube also uses the TDX27.
Now they use Volvo Plaxtons
I like this. How much it's cost?

Yes. Unfortunately.
but it still sells, so an 18th century design must still be doing pretty good.
