@HartoNome yes! I found my older brothers albums as a kid and my mom played them for me. My favs were this one and Live at the Hollywood Bowl. The live one made me feel like I was there! Only I was about 6 and it was 1969. Lol
In an early interview with the band, I think in 1965, asked their favourite song, Paul said “If I fell”. Not only is it beautiful, its extraordinarily complex. I’m no musician, but I’ve got a reasonably good ear. What they were writing was very subtle melodies, harmonies & chords and sequences that are hard for average guitarists to manage. I’ve often wondered to what extent Paul being a southpaw contributed to the fluidity with which he played their songs.
I am moved by the way she looks at him as they play & sing. If they weren’t in love when they started rehearsals, by the end, they were :) This evokes in me feelings of love for my life partner and wife of 40 years next month. I love her so much and I very often am so thankful that we met. What would my life have been without her? Our love has affected the way we raised our two lovely daughters and in turn the way they raise theirs. Both of us had horrible childhoods, but we were both very much self confident individuals and survived more than intact, with a sincere determination not to be like our parents. We both have clear memories of just a resolution when very small, six or seven years old, resolving that, if ever I had power over another person, I would use that power with grace & kindness. I thank these artists for sharing their beautiful work.

The Beatles never had a Lady doing back up vocals and the lady has added much needed woman's touch in Beatles songs. Guys you both are destined for great heights & achievements. Keep it up .
This was John Lennon’s first attempt at a ballad. It’s a beautiful song. The guy in the video has an okay voice but the harmonising when she starts singing as well is wonderful.
If this was John’s first attempt, I’d be truly astonished. Not only because it’s exquisite but mostly because it’s so complex. No person new to songwriting could compose this, in my opinion. Just coming up with the melody & chords (the latter I recall finding as a young man were often non-standard and required high dexterity) is extraordinary. The harmonies are so perfect that if you’re really listening and are not close to being knocked over by them, then you have no heart and soul ❤️🙃
