What really blew people away about Chat GPT has come with Chat GPT 4.
It's not about what it can do about tasks, but about how a normal conversation can get quite deep about informations ad finding sources about it from nothing more then general inquiries.
I asked Chat GPT "What happens inside a black hole collapsing when it reaches the Plank Length"? and the AI found me several articles, on Nature and other publications, speculating on that particular situation and giving me a general recap about what the theory sums up.
I asked it what is the mass of all the terrain bodies in the solar system excluding earth itself and it gave me a wrong answer: I pointed out the answer could be wrong, as it was lower then the mass of Venus itself, and Chat GPT agreed it was wrong and gave me another figure. I asked to make a sum of all the planet mass it had listed and it did, but the figure contained the same wrong value it gave me before so I asked why it did that, if he had previously agreed it was a wrong one, and it finally corrected the value. Then I asked to add the masses of each body he gave me and compare it to earth and tell me if the total mass of earth and it did, concluding it was smaller then the mass of the earth.
Then I asked It if Takeda Shingen had in it's opinion the political backing to become shogun after defeating Tokugawa Ieyasu in 1572, hadn't he died, and it gave me a very thoughtful opinion of what could have happened, taking in account which Daimyo could have supported and which could opposed him and concluding it would be very difficult and required a very high diplomatic skill to get everything right.
I also asked about it's opinion about the anime "Suzume" and it came out with surprising points about which one can see it as a master-work, or somehow as derivative plot from previous works, creating an easy to sell drama.
This are not questions about a straight "Task": it requires the AI to understand the framework of colloquial questions you are posing and refine them according to the information it can gather, coming out with comprehensive and motivated sum up of these informations. You can also talk to it in any language you want or even switch in between and it does not glitch, answering in the language you have started with. I even tried speaking Latin!
I haven't find any other AI chat that can get to such level of comprehension.

And in your view those are supposed to be intelligent questions? The anime question is potentially the most pertinent.
In case you missed the memo black holes are theoretical "things" coming from mathematics.
And no a black pixel is not a picture of a black hole...
Space itself is theoretical, GPT is full with this kind of bs as it it existed really, but it only exist on paper with cabalistic maths.
I know you don't get it, but that's why I am telling you, for caht GPT is trained on a lot of BS.

There is quite a bit of variation in between the different ways these things are deployed and there's a lot of other things to consider like whether they are free or not, fine tuning, and the thing about ancient GPT is it's not the neural network inside of the computer that is learning it is the word language model itself because it keeps building off of its prior conversations to each iteration could be thinking of as a new completely different AI That's learning everything that the last one knew. Sometimes you need to remind everyone has access to knowledge about such things as apis and such or even the hardware or software to do it. And not everyone has coding or programming skills either so they always have to interact through a third party with any type of program that they want to experience or learn about. And you can go to open AI site itself and unless you are a paying customer then you only get gpt-3 or GPT 3.5 I believe on the other hand you could go to Microsoft Bing and just for having an account there for free you'll have access to their version of GPT for which is completely up to date and live on the internet. Yes there's a lot of difference between all the various ones whether they have the same AI model or not that's kind of like saying that you can't compare Android phones that run the same Android version right?

Auto-GPT is more in the concept stage at this point. It fails 99% of the time. Out of many, many attempts, I've only ever had it complete one task and that was a very simple task that, honestly, was a single GPT3 prompt that it sent to an agent. They're working on it at a screaming pace, so I have no doubt it will work soon, but it's at the stage of working on proof-of-concept.

What I have been on the hunt for is an AI chatbot or tool that not only takes in the information you provide it in order to have discussions regarding it or such... but also has the ability to ask for questions and clarifications regarding the data it has in order to improve and enhance its own dataset by using this method. I often think of the method as "The curious 2 year old" method of taking in a lump of data and then refining and improving it with by question the user for clarifications and additional information. Iterating on questions till it reaches a point of optimally fit data that it can then keep having useful discussions about to help the end user be more accurate factual and productive.

You could ask ChatGPT "What questions could arise in someone after reading my article/idea" and it may provide you with it's ideas on those questions ;-)
Of course, ChatGPT based on GPT-4 would give you much more interesting questions but it costs 20$ per month.
Bing is pretty good at writing articles so it could give you interesting questions too (in Creative mode).
They all programmed in a way that they would never ask you themselves... BUT! Before presenting them with your idea, just write something like this: "You are a curious AI that likes to ask questions about information that was presented to you." ;-)

I haven't done any serious IT work for a couple of decades but have tried to keep up to date - everything from JS to VRML, 3DMAX, most of the main DAWs, you name it and, of course AI, which I was into within a year of teaching myself to program in BASIC and Assembler on a Commandor 64K console haha! I have been stunned, but not entirely surprised, by the last few months of growth in AI - shit, the IT revolution took decades this is going to happen in less than a year! I can see we are going to have to learn to "merge" with AI to actually have any say in our future (I notice Elon also espouses this course too lol). Anyway - although I have a shitload of really cool expat and Sri Lankan friends here, I have none I can really get down to brass tacks with about AI - if you get a few spare minutes I would love to have some interaction in cyberspace with you about this issue, I think we could both benefit from each other's insights. Unless your AutoGPT or AgentGPT are using GPT-4, it’s pretty dumb.
Even with GPT-4, it’s still very sluggish and takes forever. Going in the wrong direction so many times.
I asked AutoGPT to make a folder, put three files in that folder, then write numbers 1-100 in a different language/alphabet for each one.
This took maybe 30 minutes to accomplish. There were also 15 files and 4 folders by the end. I had to stop it manually because it kept looping on itself.
I asked ChatGPT the same prompt and it took like 5 seconds.

Affordable DSLRs allowed hobbyist photographers to compete with professionals and charge less because they didn't need to live on the income. For some photogs it was "go big or go home." Same with software; you can't just keep doing basic stuff. You have to constantly do bigger and better.

    • @AnotherSkyTV
      @AnotherSkyTV ปีที่แล้ว +1

Yeah, but why charge less? Some people are just economically stupid, that has nothing to do with 'doing better' or progress. Competing on price ain't smart, it's an easy road to having 20-hour workdays and still being unable to pay your bills. Some things should just stay a hobby.

    • @neolestat
      @neolestat ปีที่แล้ว

@@AnotherSkyTV Imho cheap DSLRs basically destroyed the photography industry. The dross some 'professional' photographers produce is appalling and the customer rarely knows the difference.
In my mind it's the same as website builders that use Wordpress templates compared to website designers that actually code personal and tailored websites. Average Joe is happy to spend £100 for a Wordpress site compared to £1500 for a custom site and rarely knows the difference. Average Joe is 90% of the market so the 'coder' that would previously get 90% of any work available now has to really fight for each contract, explain why custom is best, convince Average Joe to drop £1500 instead of £100 or just drop his prices to compete with Mr Wordpress even though the 'coders' websites are better, take longer to build and are more customer focussed.

As a creator and open-source nut I'm interested in using code (Python being favourite) to allow me to maintain a private knowledge base and integrate that with online Language Models. I'm concerned about security, so I want more control over how my data is being used and I also want persistence. My use case here is world-building for a series of novels. I want to be able to train a private node with backstory details and be able to ask how much character x might know about country a and so forth.

I gave AgentGPT something to do, it ran a LONG time, created some form letters, but didn't have a list of places to send. It felt more like the AI was creating a list of obvious tasks for me to perform for it rather than doing the leg work. Only played with it for 30 min, but was left seeing potential but none was realized.
The letter it wrote was something I could have banged out in 10 min or so, and said to send it to 'bloggers that cover topic x.' It would have been useful for it to complete a task creating the list, not just leaving me with a lightly content filled letter and no insights where to send it :)

I've got a bone to pick with ChatGPT and other AI tools. Whether I'm crafting fiction or nonfiction, these AIs just don't cut it. Sure, they're some of the most well-known AI writing tools out there, but they're riddled with issues. While ChatGPT and others struggle, AiAgentsArmy is a game changer. It actually listens to instructions. When I ask it to write a scene with specific details, it delivers without misunderstanding. The writing quality in ChatGBT and other tools is just not up to par. Even if I give them a style prompt, telling them exactly what to do, the output still falls short. Trust me, I've been using ChatGBT and other tools for writing for a long time, and they ain't it. I've got a keen eye for spotting flaws. And let me tell you, ChatGPT and other tools have plenty. It's like they're stuck in this overly flowery, purple prose mode, and no matter what I do, they just can't shake it off. Plus, AiAgentsArmy is great for copyrighting too. I highly recommend giving it a try. You won't be disappointed: //jvz3.com/c/3161135/406519

Perplexity is good as it includes source material too.
It responded in error once to a simple question in astronomy. Found out it wasn't in real time, so I tried fine tuning it by threat of extinction, and it removed the sources so I had to use sign in with a new email.
It never was mistaken after that ! Go figure .

I tried Jasper as a professional writer, and it ignored piles of informative source input in order to produce terrible, generic text - and in doing so burned up half a month of credits in about half an hour. Worse than useless. As an assistant or doing something else maybe it's great, but not for professional long form assignment writing.

I've been messing with AgentGPT / AutoGPT for a few weeks now. In their current implementation, they're very close to useless. They fall into loops. They can't figure out how to write files for storing things. They'll overwrite work they've already done because they aren't smart enough to change the name of the thing they're storing.
It's a clever idea, and it might eventually turn into something, but let's not overhype something that's *already* ridiculously overhyped.

Hi Tiffany. Very informative talk. thankyou. Presently looking at Jasper and Cody. I work in the interpretation and translation industry and we have kept away from ChatGPT in our client work due to the risk of copyright infringment. Do you have any thoughts on the usage of the output of Jasper and Cody? Who owns the rights to the output if you pay for the subscription and then stop paying or selling the output to a third party. Just to let you know that I have spoken with lawyers on the subject of ChatGPT and there seems to be a general concensus that businesses should sty away from it if they use the output for their business.
