    This was so worth the wait!
    That spice mixture looks really good.
    Thank you for advising a pan size when cooking a large amount.
    I found anything soy based really needs a good caramelized result to have a good texture, and meaty mouthfeel.
    Your final presentation is mouthwatering. I could put away 1 1/2 to 2 rolls. The paper is a nice touch, it keeps the whole thing together and makes eating it (inhaling it) all the more easy.
    Yes. PLEASE.🤤🌯🌯👍👍

    As an Arab vegan, approved👍
    But you actually don't actually need a Doner Kebab Spin/ Doner Kebab Broiler. When we arabs cook shawarma at home- we too can't offend the expensive material, and why would anyone- it's a complete and utter waste of your money unless your in the field of food entrepreneurship. It's all about working with what you have. So let me tell you how we make it at home and maybe even give you some new ideas.
    Tips:
    1) As simple as it is, we basically use the oven. Using the following preferred meat substitutes (huge chunks of jackfruit, seitan or oyster mushroom- we don't actually have soya curls in the Middle East) and sticking whichever one you pick on some kebab skewer sticks. Then stacking it up like a tower and sticking it upright into the oven. It's literally the same process as the Edgy Veg's video for shawarma.
    2) Garlic sauce: Because boy is it hard to make. But here's a cheap trick.
    1/2 cup cold water;
    2 tbsp corn flour;
    Mix it and stick it on the hob, mix it quickly until it becomes all thick and lumpy, but can fall off the spoon.
    Set aside, let it cool down, and then wack out the blender, throw in your garlic cloves, lemon and salt. Blend that, and then add all the cooled down cornflour mix and blend. Then lastly add a little bit of oil and then blend it, and another little bit of oil and blend. Keep doing this until you see the sauce becoming a thick consistency.
    But other than that- you nailed it, especially the toum sauce (Arabic: garlic sauce, pronunciation: "tomb sauce")- in my opinion it's the hardest thing to make from the whole shawarma recipe, so fab job

      First, bold of you to speak knowingly on the habits of every Arab in existence every time they have eaten this dish (not a single vegetable in sight, ever, it seems!).
      Secondly, you don't "own" the food. Regional variations within the same culture, and even cultural fusions across different cultures are both as old as time.
      So, there is no "correct" or "incorrect" way to prepare/eat any food (unless it's on fire -- that's probably incorrect -- and even then, a lot of recipes call for flambée...).
