Flew in one of these yesterday
I've flown this for about 30hrs. Our school had the first G2 in the US at the time. Rotors spin opposite of the schweizer that I'm used to, but it handled well. A bit underpowered when going through break in period because of a software limitation

Why would you fly any other trainer? The research and safety record shows that the R22 & R44 (and Robinson’s own statements) are not for beginners. Even if a beginner isn’t at the controls, the G2 is still safer under many circumstances
I spent hours in this in X-Plane, does that count? I know my taste in birds counts. Love the full frontal view and overall style. ( just subscribed)

The Mosquito XET is a turbine helicopter and somewhere around $60,000. It is a single place helicopter, but wow!

Would I need a license or would it be experimental like the mosquito?
This one does require a full pilots license (and some of the mosquito's require a light sport). Here is basically how the license tiers work in helicopters.
Ultralight = No license required
Light sport (like most mosquito's) = Requires light sport license
Part 91 Helicopter (like the cabri g2) = Requires Private Helicopter Pilot's license

Yeah $400k for the cabri, and just wait for the new Hill HX50, that is estimated to come in around $650k and is a luxury 4 place turbine helicopter.

I'd say the Mosquito Swift looks like the Cabri G2 :P (it was first haha) but yes both are beauties!
I am on a budget. Anything beyond the price of a Fiat 500 is expensive to me.
Maybe you can turn a fiat 500 into a gyro copter :P otherwise you might be stuck to the ground friend!
Start with glider flights, that is the cheapest fixed wing that is easier and cheaper and less risk to learn...

Any conventional 2 seater trainer glider (sailplane) aircraft which is winched (the cheapest) or towed (3. cheapest per hour) or the next level a self launch capable glider trainer such as Dimona HK36 (2. cheapest per hour)...
Sailplane flying is going to teach you the basics in aviation and helps to assess your skills/capabilities/body tolerances...

Underpowered and very expensive. The rotors and everything else is at eurocopter level.
The G2 is not underpowered! I have 150 hours on them, and they fly pretty well, with 2 people and fuel for 2 hours in summer. I even fly competitions with the cabri, where you have to be able hover out of ground effect, which requires the most power. Not even that is a problem at temperatures of 30°C. And in the end it`s designed as a training helicopter, where it is important for the new pilots to learn to manage limited power.
If you are going to produce videos on vehicles and aircraft such as this, you need to market them more for the demographics that are in the market for such. Like, most if not all of people who will be in a position to buy one of these, most definitely will NOT be listening to the crap music you have selected for said video. Also, you provide NOTHING as far as usable data for anyone to use this video to help make a choice, etc. Absolutely a thumbs down on this one. 👎🏻👎🏻
