Paint the container nardo grey and get a great big Shifting metal /Berrow motors logo on the front doors spread between both doors . Looks spot on inside for an portable office.
Looks good. Suggest adding ventilation, you have sealed up the container, the AC just recirculates the air inside… with 3 men in their the air will quickly become ‘stale’ 🤢, CO2 levels will rise and condensation will quickly become a problem and start rotting the wood and smelling! I would add a passive vent in the door end and a extractor vent in the back wall so you can get air flow through in winter when the door is shut plus the passive vent keeps the air fresh when all closed up and no one in there.
Was about to write the same comment! Ventilation is critical in container conversions. It will be an awful place to work come the winter when the heating is on, the door closed and zero airflow... Low vents near the open end, and high vents on the back wall or either side at the back! Could even add a C02/VOC monitor with a little controller to vary the fans!
Further to this, I hope you remembered the vapour barrier between the inside wall and the steel outer wall of the container? Without this you'll likely get what they call interstitial condensation taking place within the wall structure, potentially causing premature rot and decay.
I don’t think you understand how an AC works.. he obviously put a whole for the AC he just didn’t show it in the video. The AC can’t do anything without outside air
@@tavi7 The type fitted is a mini-split! It has an external unit and an internal unit! There is no need for air to exchange between the internal and external units, only refrigerant gas is exchanged. Perhaps you need to learn a little more about AC units before commenting...
Good build, make sure that you have sealed off the insulation especially as outside. Saw a vid on utube where ants had gotten into a storage unit and made nests inside the foam insulation as a perfect material.
Fabulous, you’ve done an excellent job there… I’m an Engineer so can’t help thinking you ought to do something with the container doors to make sure no one could ever get locked inside by accident or foul play… also you will need a fire extinguisher on the wall to keep inspection happy… 😊
Love your beautiful new office and I have to be honest I personally am jealous toby will have a amazing time and I have to be honest you are awesome mate and a brilliant boss because all your staff are happy because they stay around
Briallent build, best boss ever, so lucky to have a grate boss, the build was done so good, perfect taste. Very happy your business growing you deserve luck. All the best to your dad, hole he enjoing his range.
If you were into fizzy drinks like I was Joe, try using sparkling water instead of just plain water (about 25p for 2 litres at Lidl). Game changer mate. Tony.
You have obviously many talents young man. Very impressive transformation. Hope you, Toby and Jason (mk.2.) have many creative hours doing what you have to do to present your videos to the public. All the best. 😁
Great job Joe, just watch out for the condensation cos you ain't gonna see it till it's really bad with the ceiling in place. Might be worth running a dehumidifier at night when not in use, to keep the moisture low. Keep up the good work.
Nice project - for security reasons (apart from the millions of views on this video of course :) ) i would leave the container on the outside as it is - good videos as always , thanks
SPOILER ALERT! In part two… the staff get “Accidentally” locked in the container by an unhappy finance house and Chops Garage ships the container to Japakistanialand as revenge on Joe for all the sheds be made him bid on at the auction and win. This then gets reported to the police but they have no interest investigating as they no longer serve and protect a certain group of people. Jo and his staff are then left stranded on a beach somewhere trying to fight off the masseuse girls with a GoPro and a dji mini before the batteries go flat. When will it end?
Excellent job there Joe. US & UK Air Forces use exactly the same setup flying their drones over Middle East and other conflict zones from one of these. UK have theirs based at RAF Waddington.
1:57 - That's actually Korean I believe: "원성 ADM" - "Wonseong ADM" "4월수" - "April" "성원" - "Support" or "Sungwon" The text seems to refer to a name, possibly "Wonseong," followed by "ADM" , and mentions something related to April.
Great Job Joe, really great video as well. I tell you what I just love the clock you made, I tell you what but i think you could be on to something with the clock. People would pay a lot of money for a clock like that, would have to be one of the main thing you should have in your man cave. would be a great way of making money to help "Jack with his treatments".
You should be very proud of yourself and the guys, I was a bit apprehensive when you were trying to squeeze the first floor board in but you proved me wrong. If the used car trade doesn’t work out, you have a new opportunity building home offices👍
Only thing i would say is paint it white internally, you will see why in the winter and multi compartment trunking in case you want to make changes to the wiring at a later date, great job though bet you enjoyed the graft.
One thing I would really like to see from Shifting Metal is a used car buyers guide! Given you knowledge and of course people all working in different areas I'm sure you have plenty of knowledge that would be really useful for people! We are not lucky enough to have TH-camr garages locally where you have an idea of the inner workings of the business and people.
Fair play guys knocked it out the park with this! and some really quirky touches, what a great space. Quite like the container just as is, anyone would think its just storage at back of the yard, but maybe nice clean crisp white on the outside with Berrow Motors logo on the side would look good
Great job Joe , Dan & Toby looks very impressive it’s amazing how you have managed to transform a old shipping container in to new office space for 3 in such short time , Joe I love you creative side making the Clock from old brake disc & using the spark plugs , you will have saved a good bit not having to pay a carpenter, I would prefer to see the outside of the container painted and you mentioned you may do it at some point. It’s a thumbs up from me 👍🏻
This is one hell of a vid Firstly what a team to pull together and make this happen in such a short time frame Love the finished product who would have thought that a shipping container (that’s probably gone to china😂) could look so upto date and better than your average office space Finally the edit on this is great and a credit to your guys and it’s great to see your all for change and keep pushing forward 👍
Cabin looks great ,I would finish it with rough sawn cladding on outside but would be half the price from your local wood merchant not ( wicks )like CRS👍
Shows what can be done with a bit of effort. Like the layout and the materials used, but I think you'll be reprinting it a lighter colour scheme before long!
Gotta say I think you have done a cracking job of it Joe and team and saved yourself a fortune I bet,no hate at all as love this channel but you missed an S in subscriber on the white board😬😁the new guy is lucky to have a lovely new office to start work in,cheers joe👍
I love your new den joe !!! good luck with your new work space, love your content it's really enjoyable to watch as always and say hello to toby and the gang!!! we need to see more of toby in front of the camera he looks so interesting )))) keep up the good work boys. 👍
Great Job, ya need some pictures on the walls to break up the wood. Joe, please get Toby and Jason mouse mats that haven't been folded.😂 That's torture. Great job though. 👍
Paint the whole thing in black on the outside and paint shifting metal logo on the outside in white. It will finish it off very nicely. Overall very good job.
Thumbs up for Jason (the new videographer) and Toby who teamed up on this edit, in the new office👊➡
Isn’t that what they’re paid to do ?
@@toms4097 Still nice to celebrate their efforts, I think

Well it’s certainly an amazing office Joe!😮💨 Good work, glad you are happy with all we done too 👍🏻 Also thanks for the shout outs too!
Looks great, just one thing to keep an eye on is if the air con unit starts to drip any condensation etc with it being above the tv.
Well done vicar your new church looks bloody good congratulations on it too all of you

Still think you should get some french doors! It looks so dark in there currently! + it would look so much more professional.
Great job Joe, just watch out for the condensation cos you ain't gonna see it till it's really bad with the ceiling in place. Might be worth running a dehumidifier at night when not in use, to keep the moisture low. Keep up the good work.
Great turnaround Joe, 10 days job completed, well done team.
Nicely done ....should be a very useful space
Nice project - for security reasons (apart from the millions of views on this video of course :) ) i would leave the container on the outside as it is - good videos as always , thanks
You've done a great job. Everyone helped with all their skills available. Great team.

I see a new career in your future office in a container fitters, great work 👍

Excellent «can do» video, done on time and relatively cheaply! 👍 Update us maybe in 6 months?
Fantastic job on the office and I love the clock 😊

Looks fantastic Joe. Some really clever, quirky touches. Well done
Brilliant job Joe! It looks amazing. A real Stealth office. An absolute bargain as well. 👍👍
Joe what’s the cost to insulate and clad out the container ,looking really good 😊😊
Brilliant job that. Really good job. Tax write down as well 👍
Looks great. Good little project there and quite rewarding to see the end result.
Proper job Joe and everyone who helped 👌 loving the clock 👏👍
Nice one Joe , Toby’s spoilt now , look forward to more vids 👍
Great video, look forward to seeing the how to make clock video 👍
Proper job that bud, paint the exterior and bang a big logo on there in black - cracking 👍👍
Good job, only thing I think you should change is the colour of the cladding, needs to be lighter.
Only thing i would say is paint it white internally, you will see why in the winter and multi compartment trunking in case you want to make changes to the wiring at a later date, great job though bet you enjoyed the graft.
Fantastic job guys, its great work you have done with the container transformation

Congratulations Jason and as always - Joe you’re a legend The new office looks amazing - great job. Thanks for the great content!
Love it! It would have taken me 10 days to get the inspector out to look at the rough wiring before I could cover the studs and move on.

Great job looks fab.
Very stylish Joe. Container-based offices could be a nice sideline 👌
Looks good but would have had glass around the door, full width for more natural light.
Looks great Joe, like a cozy log cabin ❤
Looks great ❤😊
Love it, what a fantastic office. 😊
Looks good great idea for office 👍👌
Great job 👍👍👍
Shows what can be done with a bit of effort. Like the layout and the materials used, but I think you'll be reprinting it a lighter colour scheme before long!

Well done, looks great
Grand job
That's really impressive mate,in the time you had you've smashed it 👌🏻
It's like Tardis and appears to have grown after it was fitted out.
Paint the whole thing in black on the outside and paint shifting metal logo on the outside in white. It will finish it off very nicely. Overall very good job.
